Another you have do is when done using it for the day, turn it off and empty all air out of the tank, there's should be a valve on the bottom of the tank for this

Black diamond 20 gallon tank with 135 psi...starts pumping at 100 psi and runs one to one to your use (except cut off and sander)...$409. Double piston compressor recharges fully in 50 seconds. Never have had a problem.

Question. After I'm done using the compressor, I normally let the air out of it. Is it safe to keep the air in for a few weeks so I don't always have to fill it?
@chrislye89123 жыл бұрын
So it looks like nobody is answering you so I will. You can store air safely as long as you like but you should drain the condensed water out of the receiver (tank) regularly.

I reffer the FAD (Free Air Delivery) of air compressor that i want to buy. its becouse pneumatic tools now need more volume of FAD. For example HLVP gun spray almost need 300-350 l/m FAD.

In your opinion what portable compressor would you buy if you do engine work body work and painting car or impact wrench die grinder spaying premier
@fitstopgarage75037 жыл бұрын
I use all the same air tools. The die grinder and spray gun are your biggest consumers of air, because they are used for longer periods than 15 seconds. You should run an oil lubed pump (avoid oil less) Take a look at the cfm rating of your highest comsumption air tools, then add 30% to that to get a compatible compressor. My quick answer is - Don't buy a compressor with less than 10 CFM @100psi. You would regret it when using the die grinder or doing more than spray priming.

What psi/gallons would I need to run a 3 1/2" drive impact or other huge drive sockets.

Will a 6 gallon 175psi High Performance Hand Carry Jobsite Air Compressor operate an 6in Orbit Palm Sander? Just wanting to sand the bumper of ny daughters car and paint it.
@fitstopgarage75034 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucky, short answer no. But I don't know the specs of the compressor or the palm sander. Your jobsite compressor is more or less made to power nailing guns - short bursts of air and pump up tyres etc. Your compressor will have a Free Air Delivery (FAD) rate - for example 250 liters per minute (sorry I work in metric) and your sander will have an air consumption rate - example 190 liters per minute. (these specs may be given in Cubic Feet per Minute CFM) In that example your compressor will power your sander because it produces more air than what the sander uses. It will also be at around 90psi. Most air tools operate at 90psi. If your sander uses more air than what the compressor produces, then you will need a bigger compressor. You will need to find out the specs of your equipment. Dont forget the duty cycle of the compressor. At a pinch you will be able to do the repair. Just do it in short bursts and give the compressor plenty of rest time and set the regulator at 95 - 100psi.
