If you have cracked heels, the best way to get rid of the dead skin is by using a rotary nail tool. Use the red sand paper attachment and go to town. Make sure to wear a mask in a well ventilated area. There will be dead skin flying in the air, and you don't want to breathe that in. When you have that all filled off, you can use your sock method to keep the heels moisturized. Hope this helps!
