That rice looked so old and gross,, surely you could have stretched your budget a bit further now that your in Melbourne? So many amazing places to eat. Did you go to Bourke Streel Mall,, that's where you would have found all the restaurants, cafes and shops and Chinatown is there too. You can also be fined for leaving your car windows down.. :/

I'm surprised your car doesn't warn you when you leave a window open and lock it. Maybe you need to compile a list of things to check before leaving the car, and have it on the back of your sun visor. You seem to forget to lock the car often. Safer in that parking, but you could lose everything if you were parked in a different place. I hate Melbourne. The weather there is so changeable, that I have never had a good time at any point when I was there. I think Adelaide is also similar. There is a lot to see down that way. Why don't you go to Port Phillip and watch the fairy penguins come in? It's lots of fun.

Another cheap option parking is in docklands. If you went for a drive in the city centre, you might have experienced the hook turn.
