I don't know if Japanese cleansing oils are easily accessible in Australia but the only cleansing oils that I've tried are the Japanese ones (or sometimes Korean) and they're the best cleansing oils imo. They can remove the most stubborn makeup in seconds and it doesn't take a lot of rubbing so your skin doesn't become irritated. Maybe it's because Japanese waterproof mascaras are so stubborn so they have to find a way to remove it safely lol. I would recommend Hada Labo Gokujyun cleansing oil, Kose Softymo cleansing oil, or DHC cleansing oil if you prefer fragrance-free products. If you're okay with fragrance, I recommend the Senka one or the Biore one.

I have tried the garnier pink miceller water, the simple oil cleanser, ponds and other cleansing balms such as Banila and the glow recipe papaya sorbet. My all time favourite is the simple cleansing oil and I usually buy it from chemist warehouse so I’m going to go stock up on some before the get rid of them there!

I recommend the Avene XeraCalm A.D Cleansing Oil from Chemist Warehouse. It's only very slightly more expensive than Palmer's Facial Cleansing Oil per ml and feels more luxurious to use. Fragrance free, it even says on the bottle it's safe around the eyes and I can definitely vouch for no irritation. It's quite thick, so you need to remember to splash a bit of water on your face or hands before you start rubbing it around.

I agree with you on Ponds. I haven't tried many but so far I like Sukin Cleansing Oil. Currently using Ponds Cold Cream but I find it is hard to wash off that waxy layer, no matter how little I use. I'll finish it up anyway but would go back to Sukin.

That waxy layer is the worst haha. Oh ok didnt know sukin had one. I prefer to just stay away from that brand, I didnt have the best experience with them in the past lol

Hi Razia , I love cleansing oils and balms and I’m always trying different ones .. I recently tried the Honest Beauty magic gel to milk cleanser .. which I think also had mixed reviews but I really like it as a first cleanse ! Having said that I don’t wear all that much makeup and I always remove mascara with some bioderma beforehand so that could be why I didn’t have an issue ! The Typology makeup remover oil is also great ! I’m definitely going to try the Inkey List one now !

Oooooh yes to always double cleansing 😍 I know you didn't seem too keen on the ponds cleanser but I wouldn't mind giving it a go. Is it heavily fragranced? And since discovering cleansing oils and balms I can't say I've reached for micellar waters much any more, but still a gem! Thanks for the vid 🥰

I can see why some enjoy Ponds, just wasn't my fave haha. No not heavy on the fragrance, has a slight pleasant scent. Yea these days I reach for micellar waters for minimal makeup days when I cbb for oil 😅 Thanks for watching! 🥰

Simple oil cleanser came back briefly repackaged and I didn't get to repurchase now that they've disappeared again 😢 also I purchased the palmer's one but it's very hit or miss! Unfortunelty I must've gotten a bad batch bc it was so thick and gluggy and didn't emulsify at all and really requires a soapy stripping face wash to remove it. The Priceline reviews are also 50/50 split with many saying they got a bad batch as well but your demonstration looked so good :// hmm still on the hunt though 🤞🤞
@raziamoe
@raziamoe 2 жыл бұрын
I think the global supply chain situation might be to blame here. I cant think of any other reason why haha. I've heard similar about the Palmers, it either works for ppl or doesn't which is very frustrating! Batch consistency is so important. I'd recommend the Frank Body Cleansing Oil. I tried this recently and its the closest I've found to the Simple cleansing oil and has more consistent reviews as well. If you try that one out I hope it works well for you!

I really like the camomile cleansing oil from the body shop! But I think I'll need to try some of your recommendations. I have really sensitive eyes that sting with certain products, for example the palmers one really irritated my eyes. Deffs have to try the ordinary one or the inkey list!

I second this. TBS Camomile cleansing oil and balm are fantastic. I've purchased the balm many times. I found the Neutrogena ones closers in texture to the Simple one than the Palmer's one which i found too thick. But this was more than 5 years ago perhaps their formula is now different.

Hi Razia Thanks for this video! I was looking for some decent cleansing oil from Chemist Warehouse. What is your opinion on Palmer's oil fragrance? I wasn't able to use Palmer's cleansing balm because of heavy coconut fragrance.
