I agree with the Snake trooper being the worse. It’s the only fig to me that doesn’t make sense, I’d rather have snake bodies than the robot armor.

I can only go by what I bought, which wasn't that much. Best: Fangor (Sucks that many people had issues with him breaking and Mattel had no replacements) Runner-up: Frog Monger Worst: Snake-Armor He-Man from Diabolical Snake Invasion. I just do not like that 200X He-Man head. I also did not like having to get him with the snakes. I'll say the armor and such is well done, but the sword is cheap. Runner--up: He-Skeletor. I didn't even open him. I don't know why I got him. FOMO. I guess. It's not that's he's bad, but he's just a repaint from a specific comic book story. I still don't have Anti-E He-Man. I thought they'd do more lazy Anti-Eternia figures, but just two...so far.

Tbh I kind of like the anti eternia figures. I'm actually getting a bunch made as we speak and they will play a big part in my motu stories this year. I also hate the snake armor he-man head 😂😂. Nice picks, brotha 💯

Great video my favorite figure from last year was dragon blast skelator with mossman being a close second. I'm really looking forward to rio blast coming out this year I hope he comes out

If the snake trooper would have came with a black hoard trooper helmet it would have been a different ball game. That snake head look extremely stupid. Considering 95% of these figures are just repaints that means the head sculpture is extremely important.

I got Dragon Blaster Skeletor recently and I fuckin love that figure. I had the original when I was a kid. I want to get Frog Monger when I can. I'd army build that figure like my Gamorrean Guards from Jedi

Gonna be honest, I really wasn't impressed with He-Skeletor. It just feels lazy. Plus, is He-Skeletor even an actual character in MOTU? I think the problem with some of the Sun-Man figures is that they look too plane. Especially Bolt Man and Hypno. There's nothing about them that exactly stands out. The Skeletor that comes with Screech could have been better but the Filmation one looks good. The only thing I don't really like about it is that he comes with a purple He-Man sword. They should have given him that crossbone sword he's briefly seen carrying in the episode The Dragon's Gift or the crystal ball axe he uses in The Diamond Ray Of Disappearance. 200X Randor looks bad ass! Definitely some good custom parts on it as well. Moss Man looks amazing! Want to get him but he's kind of hard to find in the UK. Dragon Blaster Skeletor might be my next purchase. Definitely getting him.

The only thing the snake trooper was good for was the snake head . I threw that head on a man at arms body and it made an instant classic snake man after I put the snake armor from snake armor Skeletor on it

I give the masters of the sun a pass when it comes to the designs since they weren’t designed by some trained designer, they created by a mother who just wanted some heroes that her son could relate too being African American. It’s honestly pretty admirable of Mattel too license these figures and create a more accessible outlet for learning about the heartwarming story behind these figures creation.

I've seen the interview by Pixel Dan with the creator of that line of figures. It was a very interesting story. I've done a ranking video on that whole line as well. There are good figures, but all n all, there's plenty more from the core line that rank higher.

I would have voted for that fruity looking Hypno character. All the Sun-man stuff looks whack to me. Recently opened my Horde Trooper and was surprised to read Sun-man in the mini-comic say; "You are strong, wicked one. But my magical melanin skin is unbreakable." They created a black superhero, and made his power... being black? That's like making a female superhero whose power is menstruation!

While not the coolest character, I’m glad they released the snake trooper. He was going to be in the last wave of vintage figures that wasn’t released. I passed on moss man so definitely not my fave fig of the year. I’d probably go with one of the snake men. Respect your picks tho

Because we didn't see any Snakemen until wave 11 .... then they finally started pushing them out, which is why you hear that about them.

@@MrHomeArcade I dont have any nostalgia for the SnakeMen, they came late in the vintage line and apart from Kobra Khan they werent in the 80's filmation cartoon (To my knowledge) so its mostly newer fans or deep lore people that care about them. Some of the characters are fun, but most are pretty samey in design .. Mattel need to cater for the masses and not the niche.

Don't have any best or worse of Origins, but I have some for Masterverse, and not restricted to just 2023 Best: Vintage He-Man & Skeletor 2 Pack, Vikron, NE Trap Jaw, NE Faker, MOTUR Battle Cat, NE He-Man, Deluxe Hordak, Motherboard. Worst: Anything MOTUR that panders to the sensitive snowflakes. So... Post-Timeskip Teela, Tokenized Andra, Tokenized King Grayskull, Dark Lyn, Sorceress Teela. AKA the Unearned redemption, the pointlessly race swapped, and the great character turned Mary Sue.
