I agree building your own wire cages is a pain. I built 4 connected hole cages. It took me like 6 weeks to finish because i wasn't strong enough to hold the wire panels together and clip them. So i needed help. I did get 1 pet lodge cage free and it was the best one i had starting out (when i was still using hardware cloth cages). Bought 4 more recently and havent had a problem with the 30x30 or 30x36 yet. But i am not raising flems. I am just raising silver fox so I cant imagine itll be much of an issue. They are getting really hard to find and only 1 southern states in my entire area sells them. 1 didnt come with a door and my doors on them dont sit flush for some reason. Not sure why. But i just clip them anyway. Also if anyone is wondering wire shelve cages are shitty and rust out because the rabbits chew the pvc off of them. This is within 2 months. Dont waste your money unless you can get them for free.

We have 5 Bass Equipment cages and are slowly replacing ours to this. With our large breed, this brand is taller and we bought optional heavy duty floors that are excellent!

Oh man...the cages were affordable until the $600 oversize charge was tacked on. Rats. Maybe worth a trip to Missouri to pick them up!

$600 holy moly. When I bought mine I got $1,000 worth of large cages and the oversize and shipping charges total was only like $160
@scenicvalleycraftsbytami2 жыл бұрын
@@beardsbountifulbunnies1655 My actual order only came to about $260. I nearly crapped when I saw the oversize charge.

Hey there! Thanks for this video! My husband is very familiar with metal because he’s a welder and also does metal artwork. So I do think he can probably build cages no problem. I do have a question though! With you living in Florida-what are your tips for keeping rabbits cool in summer?
@beardsbountifulbunnies16552 жыл бұрын
Fans 24/7, constant shade, frozen water bottles for them to cuddle and lick, cold ceramic tiles.
@beardsbountifulbunnies16552 жыл бұрын
If they get crazy hot you can spritz thier ears with cool water to cool down, and you can always put ice in a watering system if you use one to keep the water cold. ( I have a video on how to make a auto watering system if you don't have one )

@beardsbountifulbunnies16553 жыл бұрын
Most of mine are 24x30. But my big breeders range in 30x30, 30x36 and 48x30.

Does poop fall through 14 gage easily?
@beardsbountifulbunnies16552 жыл бұрын
Yes, just as easily as any other Guage as long as it's 1inch by half inch holes.

i let people guilt me into solid floors for my rabbits and one of my rabbits would sit in his litterbox and because of it he suffers soar hocks and lost like 10% of his fur and his hind end was completely bald. just saying, stick with wire cages. its waaay healthier for them!

Do YOU sleep on a wiregrid? Do YOU live on a wiregrid? Do YOU pee and poop on a wiregrid? Summer and winter? 24 hours a day? How many square feet is your house? Rabbits don't belong in a hutch or a Square of wire. What a humiliation for these animals. They dig and live in earth. With GREEN GRASS.

@@schneeflockchen3386 Do YOU have the luxury of someone feeding you every day and not having to wonder if your going to be fed everyday? Do YOU live rent free? Do YOU have someone who’s constantly taking care of you and keeping you clean and safe 24/7? I really don’t think so. Please stop comparing rabbits to humans, they do not compare.

@@BlessedWithPets Every criminal in a solitary cell in jail has a better quality of life. Why do you make yourself the master over the animals? I would like to personelly put you on a 5 square meter rock in the middle of the ocean. Forever. Can you imagine what that would be like?
