It’s forsure an anime you would love. I (as well as other Tokyo ghoul fans) warn you though, after the second season, it will be a confusing anime to follow after season 2. They unfortunately rushed the actual anime but the manga is a masterpiece. One only hopes they reboot it under an actual actual company that will put a good budget into it.

I love TK he's an amazing artist. I think u guys definitely have a long way to go with the world of anime, there's so much to discover :) ! There are a lot of classic animes I'm sure u have on your list like Naruto and etc but I'll recommend Full metal alchemist brotherhood, it's one of the best animes of all time no cap, not just in terms of action/fights/abilities/world building/animation but most of all well known for its storyline & plot (most comparable to AOT but in my opinion better but that may be preference), also not to mention has some of the best written characters (you see a lot of conflicts of morality in this show). There is a difference between full metal alchemist & full metal alchemist brotherhood. Brotherhood goes off the manga and has a significantly better story since the original didn't follow the manga halfway through, Fun Fact: the dub for this show is actually preferred by majority of fans due to quality and translation. This show is known for its extremely dark atmosphere & topics. The openings & endings for this show are legendary & should definitely check out. Another recommendation I have is none other than Jojo's bizarre adventure. This is honestly a hit or miss for some anime fans due to it's extremely strange reputation. It's unexpectedly extremely gruesome/gory & not to mention weird hence the "bizarre". It's centered around the joestar family in which each season/ part focuses on a different descendent of the family and their adventures. One of the most interesting things is that the anime itself takes place all over the world. The manga was released in the 80's and is known to have influenced the 2nd street fighter games & the mangaka (author) is a huge fan of western pop culture & models his characters after American artists and names them after them. Example is the character Josuke who's outfit was modeled after Prince. Another few examples is that he uses Aerosmith, AC/DC, Purple Haze, Sex Pistols etc. He even has a few collaborations with Gucci and other fashion brands due to his characters (this show has some unique fashion). Since the anime is quite old and has been around for some time & still ongoing actually (part 6 of the anime released and part 9 of manga is to be written) the artsyle and animation jumps drastically as u continue each season/part but it remains exclusively unique. Especially since u generally follow a new protagonist of the Joestar family the anime switches up quite often- Part 1: vampires in the 1880's Part 2: evil ancient beings/aliens 1938 Part 3: travel around the world & fight enemies to get to evil vampire 1989 Part 4: small town mystery of a serial killer 1999 Part 5: Italian Mafia infiltration 2001 Part 6: Florida prison 2011 Part 7: the wild west 1890 The openings for JoJo are also VERY unique and a eyeopener (it has some 3d CG effects for some of the openings as well). The endings are very good as well and worth checking out (especially part 5😏) Fun Fact: if you've been watching anime for a while even if u haven't watched JoJo you've probably still seen a reference of it somewhere cause JoJo is literally the land of all memes in the world of anime Enough ranting here are some recommendations for anime openings: * fmab *Jojo's bizarre adventure *Overlord *Domestic girlfriend *Noragami *Death parade *Vinland saga *Mob psycho 100 *Promised Neverland * Fairy tail

😂 People who recommend it usually forget about the consequences of watching tokyo ghoul. They only mention how great of a deal it is but never mention about the backlash it got after s2. Well I cannot change ur mind if u want to watch it but still, I would say looking for the reviews for an anime is also an important thing which most of the people don't do and then they regret watching that anime. Listen, do not listen to anyone else. Watch the show an draw your own opinions, I’ve seen hundreds of animes and personally Tokyo Ghoul is my favorite, it’s not perfect but it gives you everything you want and more. Especially the end of (yes season 3) it all comes together beautifully and satisfying in a way that I believe no other anime has. You’ll walk away feeling happy and fulfilled, and I think that makes it more than worth checking out.
