But really, if you actually take the time to analyze and study Monster CLOSELY you can see why he's an amazing villain. Unlike other villains, he's not just some person that has a big impact on the series, he's an entire concept of it. Monster isn't something about beasts or demons, it's about actual HUMANS and how they can be scary. You have to admit that almost every single scary villain in anime have supernatural powers in order to be scary, but not Johan. When it comes to manipulation, Johan uses realistic tactics unlike others. Franz Bonaparta was a monster, but once he slowly became a human again, Johan killed him. He CONSUMED him. A monster eats the monster. And that's not all to it for Johan as well. In the manga, Johan could actually have emotion and a goal. **This is real life. A person like Light Yagami just can't exist. That's the truth. However, someone like Johan CAN exist. You don't need a fearsome or cool personality to become a killer or criminal, you need to be focused and calm enough to kill someone.** Now, I'm not trying to be rude here, but I'm pretty sure that you don't know how much the plot shifted after Johan finally read The Nameless Monster again. He knew at the point that he wasn't the monster he thought he was. Instead, the monster came from the outside and entered him. This could also mean that he consumed the monster (Franz Bonaparta) who was known as a true monster at the time. ---- Also, all of the villains that were listed can be followed after you know them. Johan just simply can't. Once you try figure out Johan's character, there are different paths to it and possibilities.

Yhwach from bleach should be on here, he really changed how everyone saw the quincies, they seemed weaker since the soul reapers had apperantly got rid of them, but when yhwach and the sternritter appeared that all changed, yhwach push everyone in the series to the edge, to the point where the strongest characters thought they had no chance of beating him, his motivations to create a world without the fear of death and to avenge his father for how corrupt the soul society made him is all good too, his backstory was amazing and his appearance is terrifying, he looks like a old warlord who had been at war for ages and has german clothing.
