Neither has anyone else that has spent ANY time at all looking into AV software companies. Obviously this channel is nothing more than a polished "affiliate link farm." Sounds harsh, but that's the simple truth. This wasn't about being a true comparison of these products. Run some ACTUAL performance tests. If a product works effectively, price almost becomes a non factor for most people.

I had norton for awhile but you have to read the fine print with those guys. Purchased a annual subscription in December but a month before in November they rebilled me. They told me that was normal but completely turned me off from them. They said if I wasn't renewed that the software wouldn't get any of the updates for the last month. Went back to McAfee and can't complain.

I was using Norton 360 but deleted it after a couple of months. Was sick and tired of it's relentless spam regarding paying more for updates and features I didn't need. I completely disagree, norton 360 is rubbish. I had it installed on my PC after paying for it and had problems. Installed Kaspersky Internet Security and it picked up and removed 5 different viruses that norton had completely missed.

Used Both Bitdefender is way ahead .... Kaspersky failed to rescue one of my Video file when I got attacked by Crab Ransomware when I visited a link via youtube. I noted that link and i checked the same with Bitdefender it perfectly defended my files also it detected One Crab file which is failed to protect by Kaspersky and it decrypts it for me. Kaspersky is heavy Load Shit.... don't recommend any more..... Bitdefender is more heavier than Kaspersky only when it's scanning so on working background Bitdefender is way optimized and best fr gaming....

I used a lot of AVs, free and paid. Eset was a mess - good start but soon started having issues with updates, glitched a lot and eventually started eating PC resources for some reasons. Bitdefender was nice for some time but at some point it pissed me off with notifications that I couldn't turn off while they interrupted my work and gaming and force-switched between windows. It worked nicely but wasn't as much user friendly as it was condescending and way too user-independent and even user-ignoring. Norton was a mess. Started fine but very soon had troubles updating databases - whines that it needs updates, I updated it, but then it notifies me immediately that database is out of date still. Controls were uncomfortable and it also started eating my resources some time ago. I suspect that it was the crypto miner. Even though it was disabled after they added it. My PC started lagging and yet task manager and scans showed no problems. Interestingly after I deleted Norton things returned to normal so Norton somehow WAS the problem. In the end I use Kaspersky. Never let me down. I used it in the past and replaced it with Bitdefender out of concerns about FSB. Now that I think about it - it was stupid of me. "NSA expressed concern that whoever leaks data to special services" is the same as "The Satan expressed concern that Bible is lying". I returned to Kaspersky and It. Just. Works.

so here is what i can say about Kaspersky i use to use them even at work but we stopped and not for the reasons you think. It is great software however, there is security concerns. It is a russian company and unlike other free world countries like the US, if the russian gov order a russian company to do something they have to do it no matter what. It is not the trust of the company I am worried about, it is the trust in their Gov. The fact Kaspersky is tied to user security and networks this is a big concern. You may think that I am over paranoid on this but, look at the Solarwinds hack? Expert believe that was a russian gov sponsored hack.

I Take Emsisoft Antimalware so if you need one choice is so Bitdefender because Emsisoft use too Bitdefender inside of Emsisoft with theirs antimalware too, so my choice is EMSISOFT. I Dont Like NORTON because theirs not have live update automatic say is automatic but not upgrade alone need all time click to update and in quarantine i cant delete the vírus just restore to one local i cant find the vírus so - Kaspersky is top!! and Emsisoft... my choice is Emsisoft.

@@TheCyberLab I think , best antivirus are norton , bitdefender and Kaspersky coz they are all well optimised for gaming and low impact on pc ...but i choose Kaspersky among them coz its simple to use other than two ....or other hand norton is best but it's more likely for professionals and slightly impacts on pc than other two (like who surf dark web )....Kaspersky =bitdefender (for performance) but I noticed that bitdefender is skipping some files (files are look like virus but actually not ) and sometimes bitdefender are not able to blocking some malicious websites well ... but Kaspersky is slightly good these kind of thing ...............norton 360 is quite good but didn't like its UI (opening individually separate tabs for all opting ) and norton is quite heavy other than Kaspersky and bitdefender.................................AT END , IF YOU CHOOSE ANY ANTIVIRUS AMONG THEM(Kaspersky, bitdefender, norton 360) , YOU DONT NEED TO THINk ABOUT THEM OR FELL SAD .... THEY ARE ALL BEST AT THE MARKETS ... YOU CAN GO ANYONE OF THEM ...BUT I PERSONALLY LIKE KASPERSKY......... and dont look their VPN plans, they are not enough good for vpns (I mean you can secure your privacy and unblock websites but they can't use in netflix or torrent...so if anyone search for good vpn they can go with nord or shark surf)😊

@@TheCyberLab I'd surely put it above McAfee or BitDefender, because it's ease of use and overall performance. At least those are my impressions after 1 year of experience. I also got Bit Defender on my former computer and it was total mess in terms of memory usage. I barely could work.

It's normal that an antimalware software can not scan any password protected or encrypted folder or files. Not exclusive case for ESET. ESET informs it but others just skip and do not report in log.
