chapman has one of the best defensive fundamentals. He tags them so well, i don't know how he can somehow always catch the ball and only need to move his glove a little to apply the tag. Like Javy baez always moves his arm a lot to tag. Chapman positions himself so the ball travels to the place he tags

Some of those throws are near 90mph. I'm an A's fan, just hope he doesn't overwork it, would hate to see him injure his strong arm.

Honestly, having played The Outfield, the speed of his release is just as impressive as his arm strength!

Aaron Hicks, 105 mph throw to home plate. The throw laureano did to first base is overrated. There’s a lot of outfielders that can do that, the only difference is from right field warning track to third.

These plays are amazing, and are among the most exciting in baseball. I used to play in an adult recreational league, and as a catcher was privileged just once to be on the receiving end of a ball thrown from center field for the put out. The fielder used to be a pitcher in college, so he had the arm to pull it off. It was the most exciting play I had ever been a part of, and the center fielder made it look easy.

(0:47) What is so amazing about the way he nailed Betts at 3rd is that he was running near full speed when he threw it, and made it look much easier than it actually was. He didn't even have to stop and plant himself
@baseballjen5 жыл бұрын
He's actually done that more than once - at least a few time last year - laser to third - he did it to end the top of the 9th in his MLB debut and then came up and walked it off for his first MLB hit. Crazy!

Always been a big fan of the A's since I was a young boy. I love how they rely on their farm system and keep their payroll low. Sure it probably means a few less playoffs and World series, but I think they provide a very competitive ball club almost every year with some home grown talent that they make into stars...(Albeit for other teams) that are exciting to watch...
