Great video, Meghan. Very clear explanation of CE level 1 and level 2 armor and pointing out the differences. Info I always wanted to learn more about and finally did. Thanks!

Just pre-ordered the ultra-thin triple flex few days ago/buy all my SAS-TEC armor from you. Great video/a topic that is lacking information! Hands down the most comfortable armor; as you said, you barely even notice the level-1 are there. Only downside is that they are prone to cracking in-between the 'nodes'/not the most durable armor, but that's a trade-off worth making IMO for how comfortable they are.

I'm sure of two things. 1. That's not how the manufacturer intended it. 2. It doesn't really matter.

Thank you very much for this. Really good video. As a writer I spent at least it doesn't hours before landing on the SAS pads myself. It's also weird but I do some mediaeval armoured combat as well, and a begun experimenting with using these pads in that setting. Knowing that the level one back protector is the same thickness as the level 2 joint protectors is really helpful information, because it means I can buy those and cut them to different shapes. Thank you very much.

Good information. Most videos are nothing more than a replay of the manufacturer’s talking points.

Now that there are so thin and flexible level 2 protectors, there should be a level 3 certification for better protection.

1:16 Wow, thank you so much. I indeed was wearing them the wrong way around. When I removed them I did see it says "Outside" on the non-textured side meaning it should point outwards, I completely missed that. - Wearing the Pando Moto base layers with the Phantom air protectors (level 1, thinking of upgrading to level 2).

How many of the MotoGP riders use this? I did the old test with a frying pan using all this clever protections...hitting knees, elbow, shoulders. I don't want to be comfortable, I want to be protected! I will stick to the hard shell protection

Are the sizes and shapes universal across jacket and pant manufacturers? If not can they be cut to fit or will that defeat their purpose? I would love to upgrade with these products.
@MeghanStark
@MeghanStark Жыл бұрын
You should always measure the pockets that you have available because there will be variations across manufacturers. That being said, these do work for a large variety of jackets and pants! I recommend looking at the exact dimensions on our site and estimate a bit of extra room for the protector's depth.

I’m sorry, I bought all of them, they’re really lightweight but I don’t know if they’ll really protect me in case of a accident, also most these pants or jackets with inserts is not standard to fit any kinda armor protection, I really don’t recommend them, they don’t let me ride comfortable, I’m 6.2 tall -250 pounds riding a softail, now I’m gonna to spend more money and time to get something that really works

I just ordered some armor from your store. I've had it less than 7 weeks I believe and once is already cracked and ripping. They've been installed in a Leather Jacked the Merlin Gable. I'm pretty disappointed because I have another set on order due to come in this Monday. It's good stuff but man...already cracking and ripping and hasn't seen anything close to a wreck or fall.

Hi there, that's unusual! What direction did you install the pads? The fabric side should face the road and the textured side should face the body. The opposite direction puts strain on them. We can absolutely send you a replacement pair for the ones that are cracking, go ahead and email us a photo.
@cloud9847
