Couple small tips that'll make a big difference: 1) buy a lantern asap, makes exploring easier and makes for a much better viewing experience 2) try other moves with bows. some have really good jumping attacks and rolling attacks, a lot more agile 3) if you need to run to the other side of an enemy to get a crit, remember you can jump! don't gotta run around their limbs when you can hop right over That's all, hope this helps!

@@MultiKool13 with his equipment set in particular, yes, but this doesn’t apply to every bleed build. With something like Reduvia, crit is as effective as normal attacks, since the crit damage on daggers is some of the highest in the game and it will still apply hemorrhage.

@@_questdbz with magic definitely. Try doing a PURE strength build and offline. You’ll see a huge difference in difficulty. EDIT: when I say pure I mean base stats for faith, arcane, and intelligence.

Hot tip, most grab attacks (attacks where your locked in a animation and can’t move, like the Iron Maiden’s attack where the stuff you in there chest and munch on you) can be mashed out of by spamming the dodge button and the triggers.

On this- you can't realistically completely negate damage this way, but you can usually mitigate at least one or two ticks of a multi-tick grab, namely the Iron Virgins'. One or two ticks of damage can make all the difference if its a long level, you're low on healing resources, there's mobs surrounding you waiting to follow up with another hit, etc.

The hardest part of this game and self-discipline. You must only avoid the attack once it actually gets close enough to be a threat or else you'll either get hit or get smacked by a follow-up. This is true against basically every enemy and some of them will try to fake you out or build up the tension to make you act too soon or use attacks that move slowly to screw with the timing you're used to.

You actually passed by another really cool piece of armor, right where you beat the boss at the top left of the map, if you go out and take a left you can follow a dirt road that leads to a church called Rannis Rise and if you jump on the left side of the outside wall you’ll find a cool piece of helmet that matches with the fit you got from the sages cave

Just a heads up you can get a great rune active. When you killed Godrick(or how ever its spelt) you get his rune. In his case close to the front gate you can go to the bridge and run across it(there's 3 giant soldiers) run pass them dogging the one with the bow and at the end of the bridge there's a teleprompter that will take you to the other side. Go all the way up(no enemies there) you'll find to huge dead fingers and you can activate your great rune then equip it at a grace. It will give you a bump in stats and will help out. You also got one from the second main boss but I don't know how to activate it yet.

If you get that giant dragon in the three sisters area(the place after the ghost knight) to half health he will fly away and you will unlock an awesome quest line that will lead you to like 3 unique areas and tons of optional bosses

@@thomassmith8529 depends which one your asking for, the official start is with ranni in one of the towers where the dragon is but I’m not sure if she appears right away. If she doesn’t then what you need to do is go to the ruins in forest where all the giant bears are in weeping peninsula (the southernmost of the map) and wait for nightfall. After that your going to want to listen for some howling in said ruins, once you’ve heard it go back to the Merchant in the starting church and ask him about the howling. He will give you the snap emote which your going to want to use under the person who’s howling. Once you do that he will jump down and tell you his name is blaidd, he will ask you to help him kill the bloodhound knight which is in one of the evergoals(if you’ve killed it already then he will still be there) meet him at said evergoal and after the knight is defeated he will tell you to meet the giant blacksmith near the manor where all the giant hand spiders are. Tell him you’ve met blaidd and then proceed back to three sisters, ranni should now be there. Hope this helps you out

@@thomassmith8529 after you’ve fought starscourge radahn in caelid a star will crash down in limgrave which will unlock nokron the eternal city( which has some hidden areas in itself if you look around). there you will find a quest item you will give back to ranni after some time you can return to her tower and a portal will be in her place which will take you to a different underground city called nokstella. I don’t want to spoil anything more but you should be able to figure out your way around after radahn, I just added those extra bits in case you got stumped. Have fun out there!! (Adding this just in case you didn’t do this yet, I’m pretty sure you have to meet blaidd in siofra river to unlock radahn but I’m not sure. There is an elevator in the same woods that you meet him in to get there.)

Hey Afro, big fan of you and this series. Just a few tips I think could help you out, in the some mines you can get somber bells and smithing bells, they make it to where you can buy the weapon upgrade materials from the shop. You can also upgrade your spirits at the lady with the red hood! Sometimes the summons can tank bosses and carry you through the fight

If you can make your way to Nokron, you could get a summon that mimics yourself. The summon is also incredibly tanky and does good dmg

The best I've found is the Tree Sentinel Armor from the Auriza Hero's Grave, if you can wear it. It weighs a ton but it's better protection than any other set I've found. It looks great too, in my opinion.

This armor have a passive that increase damage from jump attacks, and you can use the claw talisman too, the buff stacks. And that cave have 2 bosses, the first drop a weapon and the second a talisman.

One thing that helped me with getting mad when dying: "i'll go full attack mode, cuz i wanna learn his moves".. that helped me stop hesitating and being affraid of dying. @@notan3144 generally, I thought lvl 60-70 was an ok point to enter altus. I don't think the levels were the issue. With 70-80 being the recommendation for volcano manor and anything between 80-100 being fine for east altus and caelid. I feel like the issue is more that he didn't put enough points into vigor. Common mistake tho because elden ring enemies generally hit a lot harder than souls or Bloodborne enemies. And weapon upgrade level ofc. It's pretty easy to have a +18 weapon (or +5/6 special weapon) by the time you get to altus. His moonveil is fine but the uchi needs some more level ups. It just doesn't hit that hard rn because it's primarily an int weapon, deals more magic damage than physical damage.

You can definitely start exploring some of Caelid between 60-70 it's just at one point you're gonna hit a rather sudden damage and health increase in enemies. Yeah his Moonveil is okay at +5, west atlus should give him +6. It feels like he doesn't know that upgrades go to +25 for standard weapons yet hence his Uchi is lagging behind.

Hey man if you're dual weilding both katanas with one in each hand you can hold triangle and press L1 and R1 to switch between two handing each one and use each of their special moves without having to keep going to equipment and changing it out to use the getsugatensho in case you didn't know already. Yo, legit upgrade the frost weapon, the one that has the ice stomp. The damage on it's Ash of war scales off your weapon upgrade level. Does a lot of damage and spreads frostbite. It will legit make it easier for you to fight these bosses and trash mobs which try to gang up on you. Give it a try

You can also change your appearance in the round table hold: in the room where that woman gives you a hug (the room next to the blacksmith), walk up to the mirror and it’ll let you change how you look.
