I think it`s the driver, he was probably overdoing it or maybe bad maintenance. That puts a lot of force on engine and transmission and over time it breaks. On racecars they swap engines and transmissions all of the time.

I am sorry to say that but since Porsche has been bought by VW it is not anymore a pinnacle of German engineering but to be quite honest it never was because of Mercedes-Benz. In today's sad reality is that Audi is a Premium VW and Porsche is an Ultra Premium VW period. But to be fair the only real Porsche is the 911 which is and will always be but all the the others are expensive VW shit (Cayenne,Macan,Panamera...).

@@AVCH A3 TFSI, just a town runabout A4 TSI, just an out of town runabout A6 Le Mans tdi twinturbo fully custom tuned, edition 1 of 51, it moves like an RS6 C7 (tested) - engine is half of that found in the multiple Le Mans winner Audi R10. Better than an RS6 considering I can play with Porsches and normal cruising returns 50 MPG.

@@AVCH The A7 is great too and the Auto Union Racecar Type C from 1937 and the Audi S1E2 with all wheel - drive "quattro" - (Walter Röhrl Pikes Peak - Race 1987) and the Audi S1E2 and the Audi Models of the 1930th years are great and the Models of Audi, DKW, Horch, Wanderer and NSU (Auto Union) are very great cars. I love Audi and the Auto Union.

@@AVCH Well, It certainly depends on how well you maintain it, but the bigger issue is that the vast majority of parts are cheaply made in China, which is why BMW and Audi engines tend to fail miserably. Many parts simply can't withstand the stresses and strains, leading to cracks or breakages. I'll never buy a German car in my life; I've had a Japanese one for 10 years and haven't had a single problem.

i agree i do not like the farting sounds, but also bmw too well a lot German cars with dsg they make the car sound like it farts on every change and modern dsg way too many gears a good 5 or 6 speed is plenty not changing gear every one sec just no need. audi sounds in between the changes are not bad but sad thing the eco nutters had there say so it has to be strangled sadly. id not buy a car with dsg a good 5 or 6 speed manual the car sounds more normal then. crazy performance but not engine id want to own very complex very costly to look after. same goes for Volkswagen Passat W8 an amazing sounding engine 4.0 w8 but when it goes wrong you not want to own it, its that or v10 diesel i do like sound them but owning any engines ive mentioned they keep you awake a night as they not cheap to maintain and fix. want bit more v8 rumble its slower but MG ZT it has ford mustang v8 and they can be allowed to breath and make really cool sound and a manual, if i was in market for v8 id prob go for that

all i feel car makers cost cutting. on stock power you should never be able to kill the transition esp an auto, understand in a manual doing a money shift so like going in to 1st than 3rd or worse then you kill the engine also but other than that just using the car power i feel you should never be able to kill a transmission, if so car maker cost cutting the transmission the wrong one for the engine and it annoys me so much why people just accept car brand screwing them. and they getting far worse, these days on more performance , the more powerful cars they fail way to easy its like they not built to handle the engine

@@leejohnson624 Vehicles from the name Quattro rode in rallies in the 80s. On the other hand, Mitsubischi or Subaru successfully displaced this drive Audi and dominated in the 90s. Audi withdrew from WRC in 1986, Subaru in 2008, and Mitsubischi in 2005. As I wrote, there is no quattro drive, it is just a commercial name. This is usually a combination of Torsen and Haldex.

@@Reaperezg I've had both Audis & a Subaru. Quattro may be a name for their system, but it was still the first system to be used in rallying & paved the way for everything else that has come since. Also, quattro isn't a combination. The budget end of their lineup use the shitty haldex, where their bigger cars use the torsen (real quattro). The 2 things that make the difference between a Subaru & an Audi are the power distribution & the massive weight difference. Plus, let's not forget that McRae was the biggest factor in making Subaru's name in rallying. The Suabru also has a low centre of gravity too due to the boxer layout.

Both those cars who hit left turning drivers had red lights. When the arrows to turn are green, the on coming traffic has a red light. You can make a left on a regular green light, but you have to yield to traffic, but when its a green arrow, its your right of way. Those people were massively not paying attention to anything but their phones. Also, my bday is Friday, can we finally get that cat reaction video?

only really have 3 maybe 4 German engines, the v12 tdi from audi, vw its the 5.0 v10 tdi or the w8 4.0 it has an amazing sound a sound you never expect from vw, and maybe 1.9tdi they built for mega miles and some fast options too but they do roll coal from 2005 and older , you could even get one in a polo,Ibiza,fabia all that torque and power in such a small car and plenty options to easy gain a lot more power. more modern ones they just way to muted they strangled, some older v8 yes for sure im on board but newer v8 and v6's they need eco rubbish taken off them , like vw & bmw the engine and horrid dsg they sound daft changing gear every second as way to many gears as 5 speed could easy do the job and up to 60 in 2nd instead 4th in modern car and the farting noises they make on ever change i could not live with that, think the only v8 comfy long distance cruiser id buy it be Rover or Mg they pretty rare these days but the old mans car Rover 75, or MG version same car with more of a body kit has the mustang v8 engine and you can get then in an estate / wagon and those supper rare, do like the older v8's like the sound old rover v8 if old school Rover SD1 v8 3.5 had many trips in one blasting around wales on days out my mum and her mate in rover sd1 he had an pretty good free flowing exhaust, what a noise it made and climbing steep mountain roads the roar wow it great sound, bigger engines im more in to the older ones, but huge diesel truck an old one they sound great too, so its huge engines or tiny engines with a mad fun sound , big heavy great engine note or tiny lightweight nippy fun car, im currently on the small light cars what fun to drive and surprise drivers with bigger engine cars, lightness great in corners. getting my newer car in the next 3-4 weeks just waiting on the agreed payment and newer version of my i20 but top spec and same engine its only 1150kg empty so around 100kg more but its 4cm longer and a tad wider so it should handle better for higher speed bumpy corners, for the extra weight its got 5-8bhp but more chunky tires and light weight still it should be a load fun in the corners, current car bit sleeper no one ver expect to be challenged by it but out paced cars with much bigger engine and more power yes ive not won them all but most cases kept up and out paced a few ive surprised a few people for sure so not all about power, lightness helps a lot too
