Best Avenger Allies- A Marvel Champions Draft with

I think VillainTheory has the more meat and potatoes line-up, allies that I'm always happy to have but aren't necessarily flashy, where Nelson's picks are higher to have a big effect on game, so I'll go with Nelson today. The ally that I would include is Goliath, he's won me games on multiple occasions and it always feels great to drop him with some readies and health boosts/healing and just clear the board.

I think Nelson takes this one, but VT almost won me over with Hulk! Some that I'm surprised weren't mentioned: Black Panther, Blade, She Hulk, Tigra, Kaluu, Hellcat, Mockingbird (sig), Stinger

I think Nelson took this one for me, though VT almost took it with the Hulk pick and the Hawkeye pick. I was a little sad ya'll didn't focus on the things that Avengers can do, Tribally, like using Earth's Mightiest Avengers for the repeat ready effects, Mighty Avengers, Avenger's Tower, and the Upgrades (like Sky Cycle and Power gloves that are avengers locked), and how those tribal cards play into why certain allies are better picks than others. I think Thor and Iron Man were excellent selections, but I think I would have also placed allies like She-Hulk, Captain America, and Giant Man pretty highly, given how powerful they can be in the Tribe. Then for utility/niche play, I might have considered picks like Stinger (who is superior to Ant-Man in my opinion, because she doesn't take a slot on the board), Kaluu, Black Panther, Goliath, Blue Marvel, Iron Man (War Machine's Signature Ally), Captain Marvel (Blue), and even Squirrel Girl. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of stun/confuse effects, because they are only viable on some villains and because I generally enjoy the game more when the villain is actually getting to do their thing ;).

Wooooo And yea that is a great point, EMH and the traited cards are so cool All excellent picks! There are some really great Avenger allies in the game!

Great video guys, they are all great allies! Only Nelson mentioned he is using the Power of Leadership for Ant-Man, but that would generate 2 pym counters instead of 4 right? I read the below in Hall of Heroes, or did they change it? "Since Ant-Man: Hank Pym requires you to “overpay” for him, that would mean that The Power of Leadership wouldn’t be “paying” his cost and would therefore not generate a second resource for him."

Just stumbled on this, but would love to see this without signature allies (like the X-Men video). I likely would have added the likes of Quake, Wasp, and Black Knight actually. Probably leaning towards VT, mostly for Hawkeye.

I think this is the first big miss by VT and Nelson wins easily imo. Nelson's are staples, VT's are niche/doesn't make the cut these days. The ally that I think was missed by both is Goliath.

Iron Fist is an amazing ally! But he is a Defender, not avenger, so he was unavailable for draft this time! I can totally see him getting drafted in a future one though!!

I think this was an issue on my end! For some reason the recording was distorted, I changed the program for the next one and hopefully that fixes it!
