I’m very happy I’ve kept my A2 sight on my first AR which is MP sport 2.. I dropped in a MOE hand guard and perhaps it may look less “tactical” thn my quad rail AR but I actually love shooting my M&P! Granted it’s basically not even the same firearm anymore after replacing BCG, trigger, buffer tube, Butt stock, charging handle, with Trijicon optic and the list goes on etc.. but it’s still the same old cheap 1/9 twist M&P barrel and I love shooting it with the hand guard. I’ve learned to really love using a cowitness off of the A2 sight and I’m use to having a front sight of my optic fails... I don’t think enough people keep some type of backup sights for when an optic may fail..

i bought one 2 years ago,,and paid almost 1000,,its the ny/nj compliant model,,,non removable magazine,,so i load from the top of mag,,,i can live with that i guess,,,,its a great 1st AR,,,super reliable,,,accurate,,,now we have to have a background check on all ammo here in upstate ny,,yup,,,horrible law,,,,but unless i move,,,i comply,,,great video

Sand the inside of that stock to help it remove some of that tightness. Works everytime. I smoothen it out with 800 grit sandpaper after I remove material with the 400

A2 front sight is the way to go, most secure gas block there is without getting a low-pro pinned or dimpling the barrel. I love the classic look in a world of free-float 13.5 or 15" rails. I think M81 Woodland needs to make a comeback as far as the furniture goes..

Get some bright red rit dye. Black and red would look great on the grams. Add a red magpul mag (or even a red Lancer mag) to balance it out too. Also I think you guys should do a radian 45° safety, radian raptor LT charging handle, and a Phase 5 ABR (so much nicer than a magpul bad lever). Also a black bcm kinesthetic hand stop or vertical grip would be nice on that forend.

James Whitworth I prefer the full throw selector. The 45° tends to rub and not in a pleasurable way.

@@FourGuysGuns That's the beauty of the radian safety. The standard comes with both a short and the long lever that can be used in 45 and 90°. The more advanced version comes with two long, two medium, and two short levers that can all be interchanged in whatever pattern you like so shit doesn't rub. Great system. A bit pricey, but I like my Gucci ARs. Also there's something to be said about fully ambidextrous 90-degree throw safeties. I find it a lot easier for people to disengage the safety with their thumb and re-engage it with their trigger finger. Which gets their booger hook out of the trigger guard and away for the trigger. Leading to better trigger discipline.

Orange Dye, then brush on a bakelite pattern with red oak wood stain. Proceed to coat with gloss or satin finish.

You should try to color match it to the M3 MCT mags, also you should upgrade the controls to ambi ones. Find it funny that probably everyone that owns a sport 2 has a sl furniture set since it the new MOE.

Michael Farley honestly... the best BCG’S I’ve ever used are Colt. Period. People need to start understanding that with a first rifle or inexperienced shooter, focusing on things like buffers, BCG mods, and other internal trinkets that add parts and actions a new shooter will never feel a difference on are not the best use of budget. Get training and put 1-2k rounds through that rifle first and then make decisions like that. Just my opinion and no disrespect intended.

thalo215 don’t. Spend that money on a better trigger. If you already did that, then towards a good optic. I’m not saying the JP is bad, it’s not. JP makes good stuff. But a part like that is geared more towards a competition rifle and you can proportionately get less costly improvements out of a Geissele spring and heavy buffer upgrade.

@@FourGuysGuns I haven't done the trigger yet. I do have optics for it and plan to invest in the SL kit to get rid of the quad rail. I already have a single point sling mount so losing that won't be an issue.

Two reasons not to get the long sl handguard... one you lose your sling swivel, two they are a bitch to install... unless you do it every day. And of course you lose your bayonet lug... buuuuut... the bayonet cant be used on a carbine/16" config... mid/16" works tho.
