Thank you for this, I have just ordered some tools from them, I'll be happy to report how satisfied I am when they arrive. One thing to consider: Regardless of a shape, one shouldn't use the same scissors for both root and top pruning. Reason being is that blade can become blunt from soil and little pieces of stone in the soil, so the scissors won't perform that good for top pruning.

I bought the same combination cutter and noticed that they only sharpened one outside bevel on the beak, looks like the same on yours. I guess it makes it stronger this way. thanks for sharing.

They are designed this way on purpose. If both sides were sharpened equally and designed to meet a the same point with no overlap, the tips would chip on hard cuts. I have the same tool only mine is a straight edge and it does the job. Thanks for posting.

When it comes to quality it is worth it to get the best !!! Yes Ferraris break, but so do Volkswagens. All tools are sharp when new, but how long before they get dull. I will stick too my Masakuni tools, they feel great in your hands !!! Gotta go my 125 pound blue eyed blond with 36 triple ddds and amazing body, wife is calling……..Yaba daba doo…… Just Sayin…. ❤❤❤

Thanks for the video! How they are doing their job over the time? Are they keep on sharp and stain-free?

They're okay. I use cheapy Corona pruners more lol. Bonsai tools are over-rated and over-priced, imo. And usually have a very weak build/chassis.... and also uncomfortable grip designs that hurt your palms. They are sharp.. but SS will never be as sharp nor sharpen as good as Carbon. Yes, totally stain free. Which is the only Pro. The round/hybrid branch cutter bent while trying to cut off an overly-thick garden tree branch (my fault). But still, my cheap Coronas cut overly thick branches all the time with no problem. I think it also bent because SS is much softer than carbon.

there's no sense at all in shipping steel tools in fucking bubble-wrap and a plastic bag AND a plastic head covering, wtf!!, except to waste money and create pollution. the stop on the tool, on the handle opposite the head near the pivot, with the tool closed, doesn't even touch the other handle... so what's its purpose? and lastly, how does one go about sharpening these when they need to be sharpened?
