Of all of the fishing videos I have seen with the California delta (and I have literally watched thousands of them over the years), this one was among the top 10. There are over 1000 miles of Delta water and most of the fisherman want us to focus on fishing from a boat. I have a boat and I do fish the Delta from a boat, but I prefer to take my family out and fish the bank. This information was very valuable. Lastly, stick to the longer format. For those of us who spend a lot of time on KZbin, good information like this and the kind of work you're doing with your Channel deserves to have longer format videos (videos that are even 20 minutes or longer).

Pastor Mali D Currington Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it and agree with you 100%. I could have easily made made this video twice as long and mentioned 10 more spots. I just worry about the length of my content, especially with it being as low quality as it is.

Clifton Court Forebay used to be one of the best places to fish in 2002. I caught a striper bass that weighed 65 pounds. Using frozen sardines and a number 6 hook. In those years it was common to catch stripers from 5 to 50 pounds.

This is gonna help me a lot. I’ve been trying to just catch one good stripper in the delta and I’ve only caught a handful of bullheads and baby strippers. I have been fully convinced that you can’t get a big fish out in grizzly island or the whole delta but now I’m convinced I will catch a keeper stripper and a catfish one day now with the information you have given me. Thank you sir.

Do you think thats a good spot for bank fishing as well? 3 mile Slough is right off of the camp site.

I guess a lot has changed since 2017. The entire Orwood area is 100% no trespassing, no parking, no fishing. And the "barges" area is special fish permit only. Clifton Court parking at the Italian slough...yup, gate closed with no trespassing signs.

We will check these spots out and get back to you with the results. I am forwarding your video to my bro also. Big time fisherman. He and I were fishing at Holland Tract about 45 years ago. I was just learning but Dad would take us out and we would stay up all night catching stripers and cats on clams. That was many years ago. A lot changed around here since then. I was having a hell of a time finding good fishing holes. You may have solved those problems for us. We'll let you know. Keep fishing!! Thanks again! Lara S. p.s. I love the map tell us where you got it.

I was kicked out at the Discovery Bay super striped bass hole. First of all, I was skunked through and through. Second of all there's two no trespassing signs that include "NO FISHING ALLOWED". The maintenance worker/groundskeeper specifically told me fishing was not allowed here. The boats that leave the harbor leave huge wakes and the water level in the delta has been very low lately anyways.

Thanks for the great video, Nick! I used it to check out Big Break for largemouth bass. Unfortunately, the shoreline there at this time of year (end of May 2019) is full of underwater weeds and tough to fish. But I still had a good strike there with a creature bait, though I couldn't bring it in. Then I went to Discovery Bay to the jetty you pointed out for us, however, it's now off limits for fishing. So I was thinking of trying the spot in Lathrop that you showed us, since you described it as being good for bass. However, from the description, it was hard to tell where's the bridge you mentioned. Do you have the coordinates or nearest cross street?

Not sure if The Barges spot is only seasonally accessible but as of Dec 3, the gate is closed at the junction to the Ferry Road. Still good bank fishing on the levee along the Ferry Road (to Bradford Is) but access is also limited times (bradfordisland.com/ferry-info/) & the folks who live next to both gates are pretty protective -- so don't think about climbing the fence & walking.

Nick... Words have amazing power, please change your youtube nickname for a healthy one. Why? because words have incredible power. I have one dude who kept not believing me, that God exists, and many kinds of powers exist. The guy said its all NOTHING. Nothing exists. I told him of one man how, if he was not careful, and would say a bad word on an animal, and that one would either DIE, or get deathly sick. The guy that disbelieved me, said I am nuts. Well... Time passed, one day he calls me and said, listen, something weird happened, or I am just imagining it? I said what? He said there was a dog in my neighborhood, the dog would just bark, so annoyingly, and already for a real long time, one evening I got so angry with it, i said in my anger for it to just die! And I never ever heard that dog again... I answered ye... He said am I going crazy, or is this for real? I told him this is for real. The curses won't work always. But sometimes they do, and especially do towards humans if they really, really got to the point of deserving it. and it all works based off of words... Just words... The guy said well may be this is true, may be I am just hallucinating. Still had a hard time believing. Then again time passed, and he calls me again, this time pretty shaken, and says listen this time this is real, something is really, really weird. And started telling me how he needed to replace a tire, was driving the little inconvenient spare, which limited him to drive slow etc. He was really fed up of having to use the spare, and kept asking his Boss to give him a day off to go take care of the car. But the boss kept saying no, you are coming to work, and in addition was calling this guy all kind of names, insults, and this was everyday routine... The pay was good, the guy kept the job, but was fed over the roof with insults, and now with refusing him a day off to take care of the car. One day he got enraged at just one more insult the boss threw at him. he as usual said nothing to the boss directly, but just blew. And cursed the boss to lose a tire too. The very next day the boss was not coming to work, it appeared that the car blew a brand new tire on bosses car, the car skid, overturned, and the boss was in the hospital fighting for his life, but as I found out later boss did make it, and recovered. The weird part is, bosses car blew exactly the same tire position, as on this guys car, that he was driving a spare at. Same place tire blew on bosses car... I told the guy listen, you are going too far, you need to quit doing this, hold your temper, you are overstepping, and returning too much damage back, if you do this, they, I pointed to the skies, will start coming after you, you need to stop. He said ok. But... Later on, in time, he called me again, and said at another job, he again had abusive boss, he was pretty angry, saying I am treating him so nice, what hard is it to just treat me nice back? I am not asking for much! So that boss got him to the point of getting cursed, when started stealing money from this guys earning. He was just plain, blatant withholding guys money, all the while laughing in his face, and asking and what you gonna do? So the guy said business had clients amore, orders were pouring in, we were so busy, chokefull with orders. The boss boasted of profits, and the good life. As the boss was greedy, and at times chose to not pay all the money owed, with laugh and mockery at guys face, the guy could not hold his horses anymore, and cursed the boss to lose ten thousand times more than he stole. Short time passed, and everything started going awry, boss was making mistake after mistake, clients started leaving, orders started to dry up, the boss was going crazy, and just could not believe the developments. So I told the guy listen, you really, really need to quit what you are doing, you are returning disproportionate fire, and if you do not stop, you will have some powerful beings stop you. If you are concerned with your good life to go on, you must quit this practice... So he quit seems like, doing curses, but he also quit not believing in the power of words... he saw, that negative words literally are able to turn things upside down... Please change your nickname, I want you safe, healthy, sticking around, and teaching people to fish, you know a lot of good info, and you are kind enough to share, you are an asset to the community, and we all are better off with you blessed, not suppressed in any way. Self cursing also has incredible strength, even, if you don't realize that it can be a case...
