Actually in a power shed you can fit a car tent inside the big room, a canopy tent inside the car tent, and a medium tent inside the canopy tent. Along with another canopy tent where you placed all those barrels, and that medium tent in the corner. Plus you still have room for plenty of barrels and chests which you can stack on top of each other. Overall a 9/10 place for a base, it's almost always overlooked by players, provides shit tons of storage, and if you build it up right it can be very difficult to break into with up to 2 to 3 gates blocking off the back entrance *all undetectable* cuz they're inside and layering walls against the inside of the front entrance!

To make the best base your going to need to make 8 plus air locks and have 10 plus walls one after another. One to 4 walls standing between attacks and your loot is not even close to enough.

Idk running just tents in a thick part of the woods is pretty OP unless you have someone who thinks like that on the server. My group has been putting stick shelters in bunches of trees and thick areas of brush since they introduced them. On the flip side, anytime we're galavanting through the woods and come across a spot we would build in, we start searching. Maybe one out of every five searches turns up something, usually a single shelter with base supplies and civ/police loot. One in every twenty turns up a large stash with many, many items usually being high tier military. Long and short, it works but it's inevitable someone will find it.

I make triangle bases lately with camo walls. Hide them in trees. But yes I've never had any find one of my chest in trees in all my years in dayz

I’d like to do a “base” similar to the one that you’ve got there near Kamenka in the woods. Just open with tents, like an old school “camp” with tents on a community hardcore survival style server. I was curious if you knew of other spots on the map that were similar to the one you’ve pointed out here near Kamenka?

its easy to check the chernarus map online and look for small openings in dense forrests. You can find similar spots like this all over the map. kamenka is just appealing because it is near spawn and near loot

I did it in bottom sw corner of map in a clearing. It lasted until i built walls. After the first raid we got raided everyday by some griefer. It sucked.

Probably means you need to make some of the second floor to stop people from laying down and crawling into the base. Gates don't always cover the top of the entrance.

Just because you can block an entrance doesnt make it a good base location. People have guns and will use them even if your at the top of a tower.
