M2c has plastic inserts for the hinge pins. I thought (at least on the lower ones) that the tlr was great because it was had the same idea with a whole bag of replacements if the stock ones wear out (since I won't care about actually adjusting it, just to keep them fitting tightly).
@3SonsRC8 күн бұрын
Little different brother. The TLR does not include inserts to help if the other wears out.... That's not the purpose, The variety is for race buggy type adjustments,.... Adjusts the angle of the arms for different performance characteristics. The M2C ones are just for the sake of NOT having metal on metal that wear out and you can't fix.... Better to have a small delrin cap that can be easily replaced after a couple months of use. So the M2C ones are built for durability because the delrin is thinner and metal thicker to support. The TLR inserts are bigger and more meant for ADJUSTMENTS NOT support. So for durability and hardcore bashing the M2C setup is definitely stronger for the reason I posted above and in the video. Hope that makes sense, hope your enjoying the Channel, see ya round brother

@@3SonsRC I mean since I don't care about the small amount of adjustment those would give I count that as a big bag of replacements lol. I understand that buying the very expensive m2c would be better though. Pretty awesome I won't need to still.

I basically have close to the same setup, I just swapped to 5mm Carbon Fiber towers, 5mm carbon wing Mount. I have front and rear HR aluminum cases, center brace and bulkheads, I did the M2C front and rear braces, also a full front to rear 7075-T6 brace. I’m going more towards the racing aspect for my TLR, This was a great video! Now I gotta learn how to drive this monster on a track!!! Next upgrading to the Hobbywing max8 and 1900kv for the electronics. Already have the DX5C controller. I love building and racing! Once again you know your stuff! Awesome video!

Nice brother, that setup makes sence for racing😎👍 I'm more a send it and rip it guy ....I couldn't keep my ass on a track I'd be flying out that barrier🤣😳 Appreciate your time and kind words my friend, see ya round

@@3SonsRC Thank you! Yeah I can now see how just adding a ton of power won’t help you in racing. Learned a ton over the last 6 months..But it sure if fun as hell when playing around!!! Keep it on all 4! If possible…😂😂🏁

Well I truggified mine, useless as a track trainer. So I did the Kraton hub path. Now I’m stuck for a minute thinking about diff weights. I’ve seen everything from 60/500/30 to latest in DD been seeing folks using 50/200/20. What’s your thoughts sons or have you guys used this much since? Also are those the belted badland mx28s in this vid?

Yes brother there fantastic, perfect size for Truggafied, tons of grip, balloon a bit for rotation, and SHOULD last pretty good with Proline rubber👍.... Would prefer if the rubber was 1/2 mill thicker for durability but so far so good, appreciate the time and support my dear friend 🚀🚀😎👍

Looking forward to this build. Been looking at this or the v5. I’m thinking of going with this because I like how it looks and I like the chassis.
@3SonsRC Жыл бұрын
Yeah man the chassis helps, overall the whole trick is better than stock for sure and M2C for HARDCORE bashing. I have already upgraded it, just need to bash and shoot the content. See ya round brother

@3 Sons RC so if using the M2C tower you need this upper hinge piece for proper alignment hey? Man wish I had known that before ordering this tower cause ya now I see the angles are off with the TLR upper hinge piece and these inserts ugh… That said I know you bash but is there really issue known to you or others using this on track “not having this adjustment”?
@3SonsRC6 ай бұрын
Not sure what specific part your talking about brother. But if your talking about loosing the adjustments that are allowed by the stock TLR, no I don't think I need those adjustments, BUT I'm not a Racer at all. The full M2C setup has proper geometry but no adjustments for Hinge pin arm angle..... Still plenty of other adjustments that can still be made should get 6a close to what you need. But this is for bashing hard, durability, and performance, track use competitively would not be able to hang with competition RC, but open class at local RC track you'd do fine... But the Tekno and TLR kit guys will beat you pretty soundly if your skill is about the same.

What wheels and tyres are those? Any modifications needed to get them to fit? Nice vid
@3SonsRC Жыл бұрын
What's up brother, Yeah I mention about half way through the video they are Proline 1173 tires non belted... With M2C 5mm Extenders.... Probably fine without the Extenders but I felt they were necessary if clearance was an issue But more importantly for better performance.... And I think the setup is perfect.... Even with different tires the +5mm is nice. Hope your enjoying the channel! Bash on brother

Mate! I've been debating whether to buy this or the Mojave, I'm sold on the Typhon. Excellent driving, and great jumping! A really helpful movie, cheers Mate 👍 You have a Subsriber here in Aus, have a Happy Holy Snapping Duckshit kind of a day 😁👍
@3SonsRC Жыл бұрын
Appreciate my new Aus Subbing😍 Glad I could help make the decision... I have a Mojave as well and there sooooo different, I git the Mojave first because I really wanted a more rally style truck that was super Tough... I have a few vids on the Mojave... Love it. If I had to choose and I had neither THAT would be a hard one especially because I have run both and own both?? 🤔🤔 It somewhat depends on what you currently have, I can't believe I waited this long to get a Typhon though.... Would I be saying the same thing about the Mojave if I bought the Typhon first?? Probably 🤔😂😂 Both eventually I know right. Thanks for joining up and for the kind support brother See ya round
@pyrace Жыл бұрын
@3 Sons RC I totally agree, I've been wrestling over it for a couple of weeks, I could also buy the Typhon and mount the Mojave front and rear bumper and Body Posts and run a Mojave Body but that just doesn't seem like it would be the same. After the Typhon, I'm buying the Mojave, I think, then an Xmaxx 8S. Thanks heaps for your Feedback, you have yourself a wonderful day.
