The North Park location for Grande Ole BBQ has actually been there for many years now. They just reopened about a year ago because they closed during the pandemic and expanded to include the neighboring storefront.

Grand ol BBQ's original location is actually the 32nd street spot. They closed it for a few years and opened up in Flinn Springs before re-opening the 32nd street location

thanks for this. we watched it a few nights ago & went to Coop's the very next day! their jerk chicken may not be spicy, but goddamn is it good! i also really love their bbq sauce. it's on the sweet side, isn't very zesty, but there's something deep & complex about it that i fell in love with. it tasted good with all the meats we tried. Coop's makes my favorite sweet potato pie, so it's always a must! delicious brisket, too. looking forward to trying Bowlegged Bbq next!

Mr. Coops is on my San Diego BBQ list. Not sure where Lemon Grove is though. Bowlegged sounds like my kind of home Tx style BBQ. Cali BBQ not TX BBQ, but wings varied.

Nice video. GOBA's NP location is actually the original. It opened about 6 years ago then they opened Flinn Springs 3yrs ago and GOBA NP closed for renovations for a couple years. Check out Space Kat Bbq on India St at Aero Club. They'll reopen after the new year and their que is legit

You missed Smokin J’s at 14035 Midland Rd, Poway, seriously amazing . Their pork belly is TO DIE FOR, they smoke their meats for 12-16 hours overnight so it’s super tender. I found about it when I visited for a haircut at my aunts shop. Truly a gem❤

I still have to go to Grand Ole and Cali. Mr. Coop's is always good. Bowlegged is sometimes a miss with their ribs, but all in all good. We also go to Cali Comfort because they have the best beans and we used to get their Tailgater special to go all the time. Great job on this video, man. Keep it up! Maybe a (San Diego) National City Filipino food spots next time? That's my 'hood!

Another fantastic list of recommendations!! You need to give Oak and Anchor BBQ a try. They don't have a brick and mortar establishment but, they can be found at Lane Field Park down at the Embarcadero most weekends. It is veteran owned and operated and does not disappoint!!!! Cheers!!!!!

Coop's is LITERALLY the BEST!!!! His brisket potato is my favorite and I could eat my weight in his greens.
