Remember it's a "TRIBUTE" and isn't supposed to be a perfect copy. None of these bands are trying be The Beatles but rather give you a taste, a memory really of a time long gone. What it really does is make you appreciate how damned amazing The Beatles were.

So what would a “perfect copy” band look and sound like? More like them? Of course tribute bands are “trying to be” the bands they’re copying. The only reason they’re not perfect is because that is impossible but they’re certainly striving to be as “perfect” a copy as they can possibly be. That’s the point of it. They’re only called tribute bands because it sounds nicer than copy band.

Could be a guy called Max Sudd who I spoke to once about setting up a Beatles type band as I was a Horner bass player......never came off but I know he did play with some mates of mine and they said he sounded like Ringo and looked like him but it was a case of all the right fill but in the wrong places 😂

That’s Greg George; an original member of 1964 as The Beatles/The Tribute. Last I saw he was in Louise Harrison’s group in Branson Missouri.

The Mahoney Brothers starred in Broadway's "Beatlemania". "Legends in Concert" and Dick Clark's Golden Age of Television. Dick Clark described them as "Absolutely amazing, I thought they were lip-synching". You can find them on utube or go to their site, they play all over the U.S. east coast. They are the best.

Well, I enjoyed the informality of it and they seemed to be having fun! Wasn't that the point? Of the original band too! No doubt that was why they chose to put up Act Naturally but the guys singing Paul's Michelle did a very good job of nailing Paul's vocal tone and inflections.

Very good. McCartney sounds like McCartney, it's incredible, and just like Paul, makes no effort in reaching those higher notes.... as we say in Chile "ni se arruga para cantar", "not even a wrinkle in his face when singing.." We spanish people sing like Tarzan when trying to make a Beatles song, and American sound with their heavy "RRRRRRR" everywhere. .
