The only thing I do differently with tt bike is remove to tt poles. Everything else is the same.

Hi what size frame is that? I have an SL7 56cm and hoping to fit it in without having to remove seatpost for same reasons as you thanks

The frame size of my Specialized Allez in this video is a 54cm but all my other bikes are a frame size of 56. The reason for the smaller frame is because my Allez is "less aggressive" and in order to match the bike fit I needed a lower front end (i just run the seat fairly far back and have a long stem to adjust for this. Therefore the fit is identical). My saddle height is 76cm but probably more importantly, my saddle to the bottom of my big ring is 87cm. I still have a lot more room before the front ring is touching the box. I'm 5,11 so I don't think you will have an issue unless you are well over 6 foot.

Thanks for the quick and clear review. I understand you dont need to remove handlebar? What is the maximum ​handlebar width allowed? ​Are there no issues with the hidrolic brakes carrying the bike upside down? Thank you!

@@linasrakauskaseuexport8264 no problems with hydro brakes, just make sure to include the orange brake spacers when travelling. Width is roughly 50cm side so anything less than that should work

Do you need to lock your bike box when traveling?

Yes. I use a couple of standard TSA / Airport locks because if the bike is checked, they can open it at the airport without needing to cut the lock (This is particularly important traveling to and around the USA). You can leave it on and most do. I’m a bit ocd so I will always remove it but it’s not necessary. You have to be pretty tall before that becomes an issue.

Hi Kieran at 2meters tall and riding a 62cm Trek Madone with an integrated stem so no handlebar disconnection, what is your honest opinion on it fitting in the tri aero easyfit by bike box Alan?

I’m 1.8metres tall and have never had to remove anything off of a road bike other than wheels. Unless your handle bars are unusually wide, it should fit fine. I think they are the best boxes for convenience and price.

Might be sllly question but is the bike box classed simply as one 23kg hold luggage bag that you check in or do you need to make the airline aware of it in advance

Most airlines have a specific option to take on bikes. Easy jet (32kg) and Ryan air (30kg) allow a selected option. others such as virgin say you can have bike a box as part of you 23kg allowance, and then pay for overweigh charges up to 32kg. see this for more info: instagram.com/p/BueQfVyAucS/

What is the largest size cm Tri bike that would fit in the box? I have a 61cm bike so I am looking for a good shipping box.

I’m a 56. For my tt bike I have to either take out the poles or tilt the cockpit down. I have lots of clearance so I don’t think it will be a problem. Potentially you may need to take the rear derailleur off or lower you seat slightly if it’s weird geometry but it should fit. It’s one of the biggest bike boxes you can get. In my experience I’ve only come across one bigger but that was more like a big reinforced rectangle.

Hi Kieran, Nice video. Do you reckon any aero road bike with integrated cable would fit? I have a Giant Propel Pro disc (2021 model) and I cannot dismount the handlebar as it has integrated cabling.

I have a older propel that fits fine. I think most bikes would fit tbh. I’m 5,11 with plenty of room so unless you are extremely tall or run a bizarre bike set up I’m confident most bikes will fit.

for my tt bike yes, or you can tilt the handle bars down. others do not need to remove anything, depend how stretched out you are.
