I have a soft case Scicon bag that the airlines ruined recently. I didn't even have a chance to review it for my own triathlon youtube channel. I really like the idea of a hard case. Thanks for making this video and looking forward to seeing more from your channel in the future! I'm a big fan of Sarah Crowley so I'll have to check out the podcast! 👌

I listened to that Podcast with Sarah Crowley! Definitely wise to pack the nutrition and helmet in with the bike. Good video.

nice! To only have to take one pedal off is quite handy

Interesting. I've only traveled with my soft case twice and its already showing signs of wear and tear.

The things got wheels, so handy. What's the weight you're typically allowed to fly with/ check at the airport with such baggage?

do you check it through the over-limit section at the airport?

Supposedly not. You can check it as “sports equipment” and pay the regular checked bag fee.

26 lbs??? Man. American Airlines weight cut off is 50 lbs. My bike is 22 lbs, so that leaves practically no room for anything else.

This. Every time I see someone say "oh hey, be efficient and mack shoes, helmet, race nutrition in there" I just sort of laugh. I gather EU airlines have slightly higher limits (~62lb), but every US airline is limited to 50lb and sometimes that means carrying my pedals and saddle in my carryon. Certainly I'm not getting any extras in there like this guy wants me to.

Did not like the fact that the bike just lays down, nothing to secure the bike in place, they should use velcro straps or something else. It looks like the bike can still get crushed sideways if it was laid down on its side. I dont like this case even thought it looks like nice.
