I also use the hook to keep the lid open. It fits the loop on the lid and keeps it from closing, if you don’t want it to.

When your on a stalk with your bow or just walking to your stand you connect your D-loop to your case. That way you don’t have to set your bow down in the snow or whatever when your glassing. Brilliant idea to put the bow holder on the Bino Case!

I keep my range finder inside the case in the large vertical pocket. It is whisper quiet when you slip your hand in and out. Just keep your eye cup up and you'll be re ready. It also keeps your rangefinder protected from the elements. Hope this helps, good review and happy hunting.

I have the Badlands Bino C case and use a Marsupial Gear rangefinder pouch and one of their tethers. It has a flip open lid with a magnet that works really well. Looks like it would attach on to the side of this case with no problems.

I have same mag harness in real tree .. I use the badlands mag pouch for rangefinder on strap around ribs.. it’s same top end opening and stays tight.. doesn’t attach easy to hyplon black strap on side of pouch but secures well on rib nylon strap..

Good review man! I looked at one of these at Bass Pro today and I can’t quit thinking about it. I love the magnets but couldn’t get past the $129 price tag.

Did you ever find a rangefinder case my wife got me the same one over a year ago. I hang my finder as well and need the same situation fixed did any viewer help out or did you find a solution?

What I ended up doing was buying a Marsupial brand range finder pouch and hanging it off the side. It works like a charm!!! I did also buy the Badlands everything pocket and put it on one of the lower straps to store milk weed and other things. that also would work for a range finder but the downside is that it has zippers on it instead of magnetic closure like the Marsupial pouch.

Swarovski and Vortex both say to NOT use metal rings on the binocular strap lugs. I had my Swaro's wear out from the ring that was the former Swarovski supplied product for the harness. They now use a fabric loop with a ring on it. I am using the Optec uni-loop system. BTW Swarovski fixed my Bino's for free.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Oni Techs! I'll be using the Bino Mag or Bino C's and needed a fix for the metal key rings and non- disconnects

I've seen those but they seem absolutely huge for a lil range finder. Do you store anything else in there besides the range finder?

Hey Brent, Great review! Is that the Bino C model? That model is on my shortlist and I think the one I will choose. I am just am not sure if my Nikon Monarch 7 10x42 's will fit the C model or if I need to go up to the X, I think its called

Thanks Nathan! So this is just the Bino Case Mag. It measures 9" x 6.5" x 3" where the Bino C measures 8" x 6" x 2.5". So I'd suggest measuring your binos and going from there. The X looks to be even bigger than the Bino Case Mag so if you're looking to keep a low profile I'd stick with the C or Bino Case Mag. Keep me posted on which one you end up with and how it fits!

@@kastboarder Just bought the Bino Case Mag and love it. The C model did not come close to fitting the Monarchs so I had to spend an extra $50 for the Mag. Pricey in Canada - $150 - but it does exactly what I need and is also a much tighter, cleaner profile compared to the Alaska Guide Creations case, which is still an outstanding case as well. I will cut out the water res in back. The metal ring clips are an odd choice too, scratches waiting to happen if you don't have them attached and I will replace those also. Magnet is loud and seems very strong. I am not using them for hunting though, so the sound is not a big deal for me.

You can run it under the pack for sure. I know Badlands has a system that allows you to hook it right onto some of their new packs. Just not sure which ones off hand.

The problem with your wonderful Badlands Rhino case it has a large area of magnet and that interferes with your compass Electronics so yeah it sucks
