Does this also work for altcoins (Ethereum, Cardano, etc. are more volatile)

Sorry guys, im new, what is a trade signal ?
@TradeSmart2219 сағат бұрын
No problem. When you code an objective rules based strategy it will enter into a trade when all entry conditions are met: entry signal, and exit when all exit conditions are met: exit signal. Using tradingview and tradingview strategy scripts like what we build, optimize and backtest you can turn these objective strategies into a tradingot using it's entry and exit signals. After connecting this script to your broker you got a trading bot that can trade automatically without you: trading bot. You can get access to our premium scripts on our patreon page by becoming a "Smart Trader" tier member: www.patreon.com/TradeSmart22

Could you add in an optimization where you use the Kelly Criterion for assigning how much you should bet? I've seen worse winrates of about 45%. For modeling purposes, I would add in extra bad luck @43.5%. That means the backtest should use 5% risk (re-adjusted for each trade). For example, a starting balance of $100k should be risking $5k, and if it keeps winning money, $200k should be risking $10k, etc. If it loses a lot of money, the risk should also shrink similarly (if you only have $50k left, you should be risking $2.5k). I'd be interested to see gain on account doing that method

Thats a great idea! Is there an indicator for this on trading view or it can be done only manually? If so link the website you learned this from so I can fuly understand.

@@TradeSmart22 not that I'm aware of. It's a mathematical idea to optimise betting, I first heard about it from following Card Counting stuff haha. As long as you know your statistics (hitrate, odds, trading fees), you can go into a Kelly calculator and plug in your assumptions.

Whats is your main strategy? Or do you only showcase different ones?

I am using multiple indicators at multiple timeframes at the same time and look for the market structure and behaviour too (wich I wan't to get rid of completely because thats a subjective way of trading) both with entry points and stop loss placement. I am still developing that strategy but I can make a video of that in the future It's just not as objective as I want it to be yet. Some of the indicators I prefer and use: ATR, Stochastic RSI, MACD, Martket Cipher. And I am currently testing on the 5-30 minute double timeframe combination, but a 15minute-4Hour combination is interesting too.
