I don't trade much. I am an investor and combines fundamental and technical analysis into rational analysis.

Very good. but I want to tell, for SuperTrend, best setting is 10,2 NOT default 10, 3. For BB, best is 17,1 together with EMA7, best is the difference between BB upper band and EMA7 less than 5% of BB bandwidth In bull trend, you wonder that the ema7 and BB17,1 upper band always touch the lowest of every bar

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

7:47 I would leave the “strange staircases” in the code. Furthermore, I would create an additional code for each staircase up. (Long) I call them ladders. Perhaps an alert on a staircase up to determine whether one should add a contract long? A staircase up keeps you in the trade. A staircase down gives you notice to possibly exit the trade.

This is all well and great, but those DO NOT act the same in real time as they do in back testing. Back testing is good to learn from, but indicators alone do not make anyone a winning trader or else everyone would be beating the market using these same indicators everyone is already using

Here's where those numbers are potentially misleading though. If you take for example the Bollinger Band strategy and apply it to BTC but not to 1/1/2018-now, but say to 1/1/2023 - now, then you would have been better off just buying and holding rather then trading

That's often because TradingView does not "get" that you have access to the strategy yet (if you are talking about the Gaussian Channel one). In that case, reload TradingView a few times. Otherwise, it can happen if you are on a "very low" timeframe (1minute) or when the strategy truly does not produce trades because of an issue in the code. For example, if your code needs Volume data but the chart you are using does not have that data (happens often in Crypto). Then the strategy cannot trade and does not produce any trades. Hope it helps to fix your problem.

The idea is simply to see “how good an indicator” really is. For that you need a backtest :) No need to use this to trade with. But for picking good indicators it can help a lot.
