I would love to play River Valley Glassworks but I'm a Kickstarter backer and our games are still MIA 🙃. I was surprised by how much we enjoyed our demo of the Mandalorian Adventures at Gen Con. It was much more strategic than I expected.

Oh no! That's frustrating you haven't gotten your River Valley Glassworks yet

Played Gnome Hollow and Cities last night! They're both excellent games. Cities might be the smoothest game experience I've had all year.

I've only played gnome hollow, but it was so good!

Yeah I like them both a lot too!

With River Valley Glassworks you can also get the Founder's Edition which has glass pieces. I'm very excited to get this easily accessible game to my table with my newbie game friends. I'm also looking forward to Reef Project. I've already received my blinged out copy Nestlings as well as my copy of Gnome Hollow. Thanks for the heads up on so many MORE games I never knew about!

I hope you love your new games! Happy to give you a heads up on more

I see a ton of positive comments on cities! I have to check out gateway island, several times recently I was a little stuck with complete non-gamers who asked me what the games I like was like, and I don't have a lot of short games in different styles (I liké my workers placement, ressources management and engine building heavier or with a twist). This may enable me to introduce what this is about to different kind of players!

I like Cities a lot! Very quick and fun.

Reef looks like the most appealing for me from the list. I'm still waiting to get Arcs and Andromeda's Edge sometime this Fall!

I have never had a video speak to me as much as when you spoke about The Game of Life. The same exact thing happened to me. I’ve been trying to get my nieces and nephew into good games all their life and then my brother gifted them that mess. Since I’m games uncle, of course they asked me to play. That game is just as bad as everyone says and I definitely cursed my brother a lot through my forced smile all game 😂
@GrantLyon3 ай бұрын
Haha I understand that experience completely. Still nice of you to play with them!

Game of Life definitely does not have dice! It has a spinner. I’ll look out for Adulthood.

Oh yeah a spinner! I tried to block the experience from my memory haha

You can definitely be social playing computer games. Terraria is a great game for that and is also getting a board game adaptation. Yes board games allow for this in person but now I'm curious how you feel about boardgamearena and tabletop simulator. Playing rock hard 1977 this weekend or as soon as I finish learning the rules :)
@GrantLyon3 ай бұрын
I admittedly don't play a lot on boardgamearena or tabletop simulator very often. Hope you love Rock Hard 1977!

I watched this with my five-year-old and nine-year-old and Let's Hit Each Other with Fake Swords immediately sparked an interest in plotting what they'd do the next time they got $20 in a card. I had to refrain from saying they could easily go outside and hit each other with real sticks, because they'd be like okay, thanks, best suggestion you've in a long time, mommy. And I'd have two minutes of silence before someone would appear back in the house crying.
@GrantLyon3 ай бұрын
Hahaha well glad they got excited about the idea of hitting each other with fake swords!

We need more games with buoys in them, just because I like the sound of the word. Buoy... buoooooy. Say it... buoooooooy. It's so satisfying.
