The Fifth Season is truly a masterpiece. The genius of N.K Jemisin’s writing. The world-building It’s such a perfect pairing of enough fantasy elements while also encompassing much of our everyday real world factors - creating such a captivating parallel for readers. The use of the 2nd person is one of the best I’ve ever seen, especially the way it's plays into the twists and turns of the plot. It left me speechless at points. Currently on book two. Racing through the series because I cannot get enough.

can confirm, i read malibu rising in one sitting - in general all taylor jenkins reid books have that quality i think? daisy jones and the six is definitely my fave, if you didn't like evelyn hugo i'd still recommend it

Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favorite authors of all time, who has written two of my favorite books of all time... But Malibu Rising honestly fell flat for me, which broke my heart lol. I had it pre-ordered forever, and got an arc from my work, and when I finally read it it dragged for me... However I did still give it 3.5, and I'd still recommend it to people who enjoy this kind of format (multi-pov, switching around in time, etc). It's still classic Reid writing.

Malibu Rising was great I read it as an ARC and then got the book through Book of the Month. Some binge worthy books as Sadie (audiobook is the best) by Courtney Summers, Broken Girls Simone St. James, Sun Down Motel by Simone St James, The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane and The Secret of White Stone Gate both by Julia Nobel, Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim, The Inheritance Games and The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, and the Truly Devious series by Maureen Johnson
