We love boondocking! There are so many great places to boondock. Thanks for sharing your tips. We can't wait to get out west and so some serious boondocking. Beautiful views during the hike. --Jen

We have only been out west with our RV once. We recommend the dispersed camping on the Wall in SD. Just keep and eye on the forecast!

Gotta love an empty campground!! Looks like a nice campground!! Great tips! So fun your girls joined you!!

It’s a hidden gem for sure! One is our daughter and the others are her college roommates. It’s always fun when we get to hang out with them!

Glad to hear your slide is working well since the repair. Glad you are set up to do boon docking. We are working our way towards being able to do that. Great information, thanks! - Michelle

You’re very welcome. It’s taken us over 4 years to get this set up. We will still add more. We started with just a generator and that made a huge difference!

Hey guys great tips for boondocking. That state park looked awesome we will definitely have to put that on the list to visit some day!

Thanks! Be sure to visit the cute town of Athens nearby. There is a great bike path there as well! Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley

Hocking Hills is definitely the best state park in ohio. Love the hike from old man's cave to Loral Fall the grama grudy trail I think. The drought is bad. We have lived here over 30 years and never seen it this bad.
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
Yeah the drought is crazy. However with all this rain, we’ve been getting this weekend. It should turn around. Hocking Hills is a treasure for sure. Thanks for sharing! Stay safe!

I've been doing a little boondocking lately. it seems like those campgrounds sites are better
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
I think I prefer boondocking over regular campgrounds. Less people. lol. Hope you are doing well my friend. Thanks for the comment!

Good tips! We have 200AH of Lithium but don't have a converter so it's doesn't do us a whole lot of good right now..... It will be a slow process when we're ready for solar. Just spent $$$$ on MorRyde so we need to pace ourselves!! 🙂
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
You’ve got to start somewhere for sure! We will continue to build on this one but the inverter has made the biggest difference so far! Thanks for watching and sharing your setup. Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley

Just an idea for newbies like me watching, do a battery life/solar test in the safety of your own driveway for a week.
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
That is a great idea! We driveway surfed before we ever took our rig out at all. With the solar- we knew we had the generator as a back up so we felt comfortable testing it out in the wild lol. It has been a learning curve though. Thanks for the comment! Do you have solar?
@The1833FarmhouseFeralsАй бұрын
@@campinwiththeconfers only been tinkering around with it for an off grid stroage shed... No multi-day 12vdc fridge use or heavy 120ac load testing yet... (two 400watt panels, two 100Ah lifepo4 batteries, and a 3k inverter) Be well!

Hi Confers. Can you show your water overflow shut off? I have a 2023 260RD and not sure what I need. Also…you guys are funny….small camp site!! I love my favorite “small” National forest campsite that has 15 sites 😂 Anyway once again I appreciate you guys sharing. Happy camping.
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
I used a 5/8 shark bite ball valve shut off. You need to make sure that after you use a little bit of the water you need to open the valve back up so the tank can breathe. And we have stayed in smaller places for sure - but for a state park around here- this one is on the small side. Not sure if you have seen it, but we did a video last year on all of the mods we had done (47) as of the time of recording. Of course we have done many more since then. lol. Thanks for watching and we appreciate the comment. Hope you get as many happy miles out of your 260rd that we have!

Great videos. Just signed up for your newsletter. What to go Hocking Hills in 2025. Can you recommend places to stay. Live in Michigan. Best time to book any sites. Thank you Phil from Detroit. Safe travels.

Hey Phil, thanks for joining us! Will you be camping and if so what size is your rig? That will help me suggest places to stay.

I have 2022 Jayco micro mini. Length is 20ft. Thanks. Your opinion is always welcome.

@@phillipolanger9116 we have stayed at Hocking Hills state park campground which is really nice and right around the corner from old man’s cave. If you like KOA we have stayed at Hocking Hills KOA too and would also recommend that one. we have also stayed at hilltop campground and we wouldn’t really recommend that. Enjoy!

Love your videos. I have the same rig only a 2023 with a 12 volt refrig. So our rig came with one solar panel and a small converter and a battery. So this runs the refrig. It says inverter prep however no inverter. So if I want to upgrade my solar would I just need an inverter and lithium battery?
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
The inverter is the next big step. It will use battery power to run all of your outlets and everything you plug into them. After that you will add batteries for more power. Rule of thumb is for every 100 amp hours of battery, have 200 watts of solar panels to charge them.

WOW 😮.. Y'all had some serious drought..The creek looks more like a hiking trail.. The Noggin Knocking was hilarious 😂🤣...👋🏾 to the Motley Crue 😂🤣..No Mr. Mike, PJ'S and Lounge Wear are two different things 😂🤣..One is comfortable/cute/sexy the other is just plain/comfortable😂🤣 Well that's my opinion 🤷🏾♀️🤣..I know the name of that 🪲.. It's name is UGLY 🤣..I do have some questions for you guys..Do you use rechargeable neck fans or small table top fans to beat the heat ❓ I've seen other RVers using very large fans sometimes.. Question #2 ..Are you guys considering purchasing a Star Link❓ Thanks for sharing your tips ❤🙂
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
Thank you Janice for siding with me (Shelley)! Yes , I do have a rechargeable neck fan that I do use! I love it! We also have a small rechargeable table top fan. We will likely get Starlink in the next year or so. We are hoping maybe the cost will come down!

You can always use a propane grill anywhere, there is no cinders! I believe you read that wrong.
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
We double checked and that was the ban at the time. They did later amend it to allow gas grills.

Hey nice site😉, you hit it pretty good on utility consumption👍. Do yourself a favor and get 200 more AH worth of batteries well worth the money.

The batteries are on our list for this winter and more panels in the spring.
