Very cool video, mate. I remember my first martial arts club had a bit of that atmosphere, were I trained karate as a kid and teen. It was in an old industrial backyard building, lot of brickwalls, you came in 2nd floor, there was the lockerem, showers and then came the bar and some publik rooms. It had big windows, so you could watching the traditional styled karate dojo. Downstairs in the 1st floor there was a boxing ring and the muscle factory with machines and weights and all. The owner was a shady looking guy (but a real nice one) who was behind the bar all day, telling stories and sharing drinks. So kids and teens would train and then the parents would sit outside in the bar part and have some drinks and talks. And when the grownups had their training session, sometimes the kids were sitting outside and waiting (no drinks, but kids drinks of course). Not exactly the way of these pubs you describe here, but a similar atmosphere I can relate to. That would be fantastic having a Pub/Pugilism place today 😂👍🏼🍺 Historically I like to add, that the connection of Pubs also was with the training and teaching of swordsmanship, which was of course an important discipline in the first half of the 18th century for old time pugilists like James Figg.

You should do a pub crawl to these places for tourists. I would pay for this.

Wie viele Kaffeehäuser und alte Restaurants wurden bei uns "modernisiert". Mit jedem wurde ein Stück Vergangenheit eliminiert.🇦🇹
