I have searched for a strong, simple and small knot that can be tied quickly and easily. Trust me this one is the BEST!! 10 out of 10 on all the aforementioned criteria.

Perfect Explanation. And my 20lb braid to 8 lb fluro knot just lasted a few fish, and a bunch of snags including tree across the pond lol! Awesome..STRONG & EASY Knot!

Watched b4 and as easy as it looks, i just couldn't get it. Lost the video and after 2 weeks search FOUND AGAIN. Now i get it... easy, straight to the point, thank you. Very glad you used smaller braid and Fluorocarbon. Im fishing 4# mono and 4# Fluorocarbon for trout. Tougher to tie but usually once is all. Thanks again for the video!! Brad

Fishing for trout also, except I'm in southern California. This knot looks awesome especially for old 60 year old eyes.

This is an Albright knot tied with a doubled up braid line. I would think the Crazy Alberto knot which is tied almost the same would be a better choice

I am a biologist and to my knowledge their has been no signifigant increase in the mental capacity of fish since the wide spread use of braided line began about 20 years ago. If a fish will readily hit a spinner bait and a bladed jig, neither of which look like any living creature I have ever seen in the water, why would this same fish be frightened off by a piece of fishing line that is .015mm in diameter?
@Eriebasscharters4 ай бұрын
I don’t use light line just because I think fish can see it or not. Lighter line gives certain baits better and more natural action in finesse situations. We have 20ft of visibility at times on Lake Erie. I will tell you for a fact that if you’re drop shotting with straight braid or heavy flurocarbon you will get a 10th of the bites compared to if your fishing with a 6lb fluro leader. I have no college degree but that’s just my on the water experience.

In super clear water I've watched bluegills (which are probably not considered too smart) take a look at a worm on a hook and swim away. But if you bury the whole hook so all they see is worm - game over. They apparently do learn if they've been caught and released a few times.

You could have used larger and different color lines for contrast.

A slim beauty? I think that’s the name of it, could be wrong, but if I remember correctly it’s called a slim beauty.

Have you tried this on large fish over 50 lbs?
@danholtbk70083 ай бұрын
Just curious, if your drag is set correctly why would it matter how big the fish is?

Those Tag ends will hang up on the line guides

They will not. Cut them short and try it.

You said that it goes through your spinning rod guides with no problem. How does it do on the smaller baitcaster rods? I have made up a 2' floro leader attached to the lure and the other end tied to a spit ring to attach it a snap attached to braid to make it more versatile. I have 6 reels, 5 with braid, 1 dedicated floro reel.

No it a Albright knot tied with a double line
@BenTurner-kx7zv11 ай бұрын
You reckon it’s better than the double uni knot

This is an albright knot, the only difference is the doubling over of the braid.
