I found The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin + HA containing lactic acid was surprisingly effective. I think it was the lactic acid the made it work.

Love All Your Recommendations, As Always, You Present Details, Stats and Honest Review. I will say, however, that for some of us who Suffer From Hormonal Hyperpigmentation/Melasma due to Pre-Menopausal symptoms, there is very little that most of these topical products can do to alleviate and/or calm the appearance of Dark Spots on our Skin. I've been doing everything, Prescription Tretinoin AND Hydroquinone, as well as everything else under the sun. I wear Mineral Tinted Sunscreen inside the house too, Wear Hats when I go outside, and slather on the Sunscreen. NOTHING IS WORKING. I just have to relax and accept what I'm going. through or I will continue spending THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.

Transparent lab's Sunspot Fading Serum is the first product in over five years that has done something for my melasma. Have tried expensive (for instance, Paula's Choice) products, to no avail. Transparent Lab's sunscreens are fantastic, as well, and they have sales a few times a year, allowing you to stock up. Am hoping their XL bottles come back soon. 🤞

I use the Shizeido Yuzu serum, vitamin C. Yuzu is a citrus tree from Japan, S Korea. It has been excellent for my very sensitive skin. Not very pricey. It is magnificent. I love it!

Hi Sarah.. minimalist Alpha arbutin with ferulic is great for pigmentation. I have gone through bottles of numbuzin number 5 but it didnt do anything. I think the percentages of actives are too less.

I just throw all kinds of shit at my hyperpigmentation (sun spots) and hope something sticks! Have had best luck with: Tranxamic Acid and Alpha Arbutin w/Niacinamide (Cos de Baha has the highest concentrations, best formulations and best price). ❤️

Niacinamide, Alpha Arbutin, Tranexamic Acid, Kojic Acid, Glutathione, Vitamin C, Red light, etc. I throw everything at my Melasma, it is better, but still not great. Thank goodness I'm not allergic to niacinamide! I've tried Hydroquinone, but it was very irritating. Thank you for this!! Many blessings!!!💖💖💖

I used two tubes of Faded, and did not see any changes. Cysteamine, azelaic acid , and kojic acid are my star ingredients.

@dikemariel for morning, I'm using Naturium Azelaic Acid 10%. It also has Vitamin C and Niacinamide. In the evening, I'm using Urban Skin Advanced Day and Night treatment. It has tranexamic and kojic acids and I pair it with Anua 10+ Azelaic Acid. I also use Urban Skin Hypercorrect Intense Fading Cream. It's 5% Cysteamine. This one takes some time, but is well worth it. I'm on my fourth tube.

I just use timeless 20% vit c and Tret, and it seems to help . I’m told that too much , over 5%niacin-amides too much per day , if you add all products used in one day.?

Could you review the new Eucerin radiant tone dual serum that made its way over from Europe? Thiamidol sounds promising for addressing dark spots!

I have stubborn hyperpigmentation and the Eucerin product is what i settled for after trying everything under the sun, including hydroquinone. A good dupe is the Nivea product with Thiamidol as Nivea falls under the Baiersdorf company umbrella as well. Niod did not help at all and korean products were too mild for my hyperpigmentation issues.

Eucerin thiamidol is good. You need to be consistent and patient. Some discolouration on your skin tone maybe observed before the whole face gets brighter and even tone. Don't be alarm when you skin looked patchy due to uneven skin tone at the beginning.
