That's a big routine with too many products. You can remove 1-3 in your morning routine with just Kojic Acid soap by Skinlyte. It is a cleanser, has vitamin C and Kojic Acid which is a dark spot remover that can be used also as a mask or serum. Then apply the sunscreen. 2 step process. At night, you can cleanse again with the Kojic Acid soap and then apply again as a night time leave in serum overnight. Just 1 step.

This was the BEST DARK SPOT VIDEO EVER! You included darker skin tones like me! I didn’t know about the alpha Arbutin Hydroquinone connection. I know how to put all my products together now. Thank you!
@abcdefg-z5n2 ай бұрын
Instead of Arbutin, go for Kojic Acid which is more popular. Go for natural Skinlyte brand. Valitic brand has synthetic dyes and fragrance that may hide Phthalates. It will cause inflammation and irritation that leads to more hyperpigmentation. Go for an all natural one by Skinlyte. You can even use it as a leave in mask or a spot treatment without rinsing off. Do that only if the ingredients of the soap is all natural.
@01cherrelleАй бұрын
Kojic Acid is not for everyone. Spot treat first to avoid irritation.
@abcdefg-z5nАй бұрын
@@01cherrelle Yes it is. It all depends on the concentration in the formula. 2% is safe. At 4% could be irritating.

Black guy here with pecan brown skin: tinted anything with zinc oxide is a non-starter. I've been using sunscreen daily for 12 years and I've only missed about 5 days during this time--each of them I've been indoors the entire day. I have NEVER found a tinted sunscreen that doesn't make me look like a complete freak. I don't care how "invisible" it's supposed to be. Apparently "invisible" is only or lighter skin tones. My skin will reveal that mess with no delay. I use SPF30 or higher with antioxidants, but will never use tinted.

Bru's the struggle is real. The tinted mineral sunscreen from All Good (sold at Target and online) works. It's very drying so I have to use a moisturizer first. Then I apply a powder.

I don't see the need to block visible light with the tint. Visible red and IR light is good for dark spots. That's why red light therapy is so popular.

One thing that worked for my skin and made it glow was following a good skincare routine. I keep my skin hydrated by staying well hydrated every day. I wash my face twice a day, both morning and night. I use the very gentle riceberry face wash only. After washing, I apply rice berry vitamin c face serum by littleexttra. When I go outside, I always apply sunscreen. Just following these things made a big difference in just 3 months. I hope this can help someone else who is looking to improve their skin texture.

I hope you'll consider doing a detailed video covering the in-office procedures you recommend for hyperpigmentation. Previously I’d been on hydroquinone 4%, azelaic acid 20%, arbutase 6% and otc Skinceuticals Vit C (and of course tinted sunscreen). My melasma lightened significantly to the extent I was comfortable without foundation 🎉 but after a year of those prescription topicals which were compounded with steroids, my skin was thinning. With oral TA, my skin can now rest a little :) Look forward to trying your new product!

At your age I recommend peptide treatments. Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair naturally. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.

I tried every product under the sun (pun intended) to fade my hyper pigmentation that formed during pregnancy. Nothing worked until I started doing advanced IPL treatments. I am not sure if you cover these treatments on here but I def think they're amazing and also interesting! Regular IPL improved my skin in general but advanced zapped my pigment, it rose to the surface and flaked away and it's like I have nothing there anymore. I get it done twice a year because as mine seems to be hormonal is does come back. I could get away with once a year, it would just be pretty visible by the year end. It is really shocking through just how well it works, and I was spending loads of products and not seeing anything near as dramatic after years of using them. For me it was worth the $$. I am canadian and it was 300$ a treatment and needed 3 in total, spanned out between 4-6 weeks each. I was able to do mine during a promotion and get 50% off each treatment, so 150$ cad.

None of the sunscreens mentioned are available in Australia 🇦🇺 they don’t meet our strict standards for protection. Skin cancer is our most prolific cancer so there are a lot of regulations on sunscreen here.

La Roche Posey - absolute fabulous. Does not cause breakouts, it’s 50+. It is more expensive but a little goes a long way. I’ve been using it for 30 years and I have very little damage, or wrinkles!

Since Tretinoin counteracts all 3 components of dark spots (pigment production, pigment transfer, and pigment deposition), I wonder why the doctor says that Tretinoin by itself is not a dark spot remover(?) [ 16:02 ]
@Noneofyourbussinez2 сағат бұрын
Maybe it’s not for all types of dark spots, but I’m confused also.

Can we get products that are 100% cruelty-free? I don’t feel comfortable investing in products that I know experiment on Beagles and other voiceless animals for the sake of “beauty”.

Took your advice with the sunscreen and have to say it's already making a difference. A few weeks ago I zapped off all the moles on my face with a mole pen (a dermatologist a few years ago already told me they were benign) and I expected some scarring or at least hyperpigmentation to start creeping in as the days went by. I was already covering my face in vaseline in the day and Cerave Healing Ointment at night. The dark spots were still getting darker. Even switching to frankincense oil mixed in skin repair lotion at night didn't seem to be doing the trick. But after I saw your video I decided to try the sunscreen, and I use SPF 50. I wear that in the day even if I don't go out, and at night I use the Cerave Healing Ointment. Already I can see that the sunscreen is beginning to fade the pigmentation, even though small but I know it will take time. Even a persistant cluster of dark spots from a nitrogen mole removal I had done a few years ago are lighter as well. Thanks for your video.

Thank you for mentioning that Alpha Arbutin produces Hydroquinone and can therefore cause the excess melanin darkening that you mentioned in your video a couple of times. That is so good to know because I use hydroquinone and was also interested in using alpha arbutin!
