tried ordering the VPS resonator delete and its on backorder till Mid August, wish i would have gotten it earlier.

Yeah, unfortunately I had to wait at least 1/1.5 months for mine to arrive. I think they are made in batches and they sell pretty quickly. I’d recommend just ordering them if you want and plan to wait. I doubt the wait time will decrease any for a while anyway.

What's the difference between this and just cutting resonators and getting it welded? Will it sound the same or should I spend the money and get VPS?

I don’t think you can go wrong with either option. The VPS kit likely provides a bit more flexibility in terms of it being “bolt-on” and more easily reversible if I remember correctly. However any exhaust shop should be able to do the same work - likely for cheaper as well.

How much different is this vs. Audi’s sound enhancing resonator kit? I know the build is different, but what about the sound?

I’m not too familiar with the Audi sound enhancer kit you’re referring to. I will say the VPS kit is a very popular mod for these cars that yields great results - been very happy with mine.

Would there be any drones in dynamic or comfort? Have you removed or turned off the soundaktor?

No drone whatsoever in any mode. I still have my stock exhaust valves connected but some people keep them permanently open which can result in some drone in dynamic mode. Have not turned off the soundaktor but I know people who install an X pipe do turn it off to help eliminate some drone.

Ordered my kit on oct. 15th. Haven’t heard any updates, processing, etc. This normal? Hoping I didn’t get scammed or anything like that
