Because the tuning was poorly he probably made the car heavier than stock and thats why its almost stock time. Sometimes you shouldn’t Tune some parts. But chiptuning only should make it faster. Who know what he did increase? We also dont know the weight difference of both cars. But lets say they where the same weight. The Audi would have won here either way. Because at this point Newtonmeters make a big difference.

M340i is the best in its class when it comes to performance stock or tuned. These 2 cars were way more different in power than stated in the video. S5 has atleast like 550 crank whereas the m340i seems like it has inflated numbers. A M2240i stock does 12-12,2 sec quarter miles. M340i is around same weight and with 480 crank it should be in the deep 11's. All i am saying is the numbers dont match the performance

@@zafert85 stock M340 in all the most perfect situations and prepped surfaces will run those. So many variables in these races that I wouldn’t look too deep into those but rather how they perform. You need to remember, I believe he’s getting his data from a vbox or something similar. To be honest, not even sure what kind of tires the M340 is running. That should be one of everyone’s first mods if looking to go fast

Something is wrong at that bmw. They have similar power, audi have MORE transmission losses due to torsen (real) PERMANENT AWD. What i was expected was audi to be first at 60ft/launch, but to be slightly passed at the end. But what i've seen was something like +30-50bhp for audi.. which is strage, at least.

No. These cars are both Turbo 6 cylinders so they have similar powerbands. But It's all the powerband. Look at a Dyno chart. Peak horse power is peak power, but if have to rev a car all the way out like a GT350 to make that peak power, your not going to be the fastest. You could be faster making less peak power, but more power for more of the rev range, and be a lot faster.

Numbers are straight off 034s charts about 403 wheel and 476 crank. If anything the bmw wasn’t pushing as much as claimed imo. I have an s4 with same mods as the s5 in the video and against my friends stage 2 m340i we’re pretty much dead even but he starts to pull top end. Prob a shit tune in the m340 imho but very happy to see the s5 beat an m340! Made my day 😂.

Why didn’t they use launch control on the M340i? It ran slower than some bone stock ones. The average 1/4 is 12.1 at 114mph, and some are doing 11.8 bone stock. Adding an intake does not help these on the stock turbo, the stock intake is best, most tuners will tell you this. Also you need to shift them at 6k rpm as the baby turbo loses efficiency there.

Yes, I have a 2020 M340ixdrive with same type of mods but, on a JB4 and consistently run sub 12 on the quarter. So with an actual tune this should have been a much closer race. Don't know who would win, but definitely closer results. Could also be in need of a driver upgrade as the launch seemed really soft in the M340.

The algorithm suggested that I think outside the box, which is why I like a tuned Camaro SS with an automatic transmission. It's slower, but plenty of money remains in my wallet. 😜😜

I don’t know about the BMW, but assuming the Audi is Stage 2 tuned and likely on E85 based on the BHP number. 3.3 and 11.3 seems to be in the right vicinity compared to my S4 time. It could be a tad quicker if DA is better. Nice video 💪

My full weight b9 S4 on 034 93 ron stage 2 ecu and tcu does 11.3@121 and 3.3 to 60 on the road.

I can’t decide between the 2018 bmw 340i or the 2018 audi s5. I want something i can modify to be fast and have good horsepower.
