Exactly... There's not even any way to position the Blue Yeti sideways like that with the default mic stand that it comes with... If it was intended to be used sideways, it would have been very important for them to allow you to use it sideways with the default Blue Yeti base...
@justkookoo55562 жыл бұрын
Microphones don't have to be sideways. It all depends on the polar pattern for your specific mic. Your mic could be upright, sideways, up-side down, it doesn't matter, as long as you're speaking into the proper face of the microphone. Here is a video for reference from 2 guys who absolutely know they're stuff on audio and Microphones: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJLHZWeYgJ6Wg8k. They cover that exact topic at 13:30.

If not careful, both the flimsy old arm and your Yeti crash to the ground.. Hours and hrs on amazon last 3 days searching for just this sorta setup. One I can entrust to cradle my yeti. You shouldn't have to be preoccupied with slippage. You should be preoccupied with your work. Love all the extras like the reinforcement straps and the awesome hook for your cans. WTG TONOR!! I noticed you didn't mention how the pole going into the base is just... sitting in there. Nothing is holding it in there, so for those with desks slightly leaning forward or backwards, this thing will slowly rotate on you. Also, you might accidentally lift up on it and the whole thing will fall over to your surprise because it's clamped to the desk, so you wouldn't expect it to fall over

Yeshua(Jesus) the Christ loves you! Praise YHWH El Shaddai and may He bless you! Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords! (YHWH - the LORD) (El Shaddai - God Almighty) To those who haven’t; Repent of your sins and believe on the Adon Jesus the Christ, believe in your heart that He has died for your sins and rose from the tomb on the third day and you shall receive the Holy Spirit of God and He shall dwell within you. You shall be saved. Be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! - Jesus the Christ loves you, praise YHWH our Elohim - Evidence for Jesus Christ’s existence, crucifixion, and disappearance from the tomb (He rose from it): The Lord Jesus Christ did exist, gathered disciples, and was crucified and went missing from the tomb. To argue about wether He was taken from the grave or rose from it, is an argument a skeptic can make. Because well if you disregard the eye witness testimony of the disciples and there willingness to die for Christ, and humans won’t die for something they know is a lie, when Peter is pinned upside down to that cross, he could have said that it was a fake, but He didn’t because it wasn’t, what care would he have about death in this world if he knew for a fact he had assurance of a life in another, Jesus Christ did rise from the tomb and is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now the evidence for the Lord Jesus Christ’s existence really isn’t hard to find a multitude of non-Christian scholars and historians mention Him within 150 years after the time of His life. One such is Tacitus a Roman historian who reported on emperor nero’s decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed rome in 64 AD. Tacitus wrote: “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…” In this Tacitus makes reference to not only Christians, but Christ calling Him Christus and confirming the Gospels going on to say that He suffered the extreme penalty (crucifixion) under the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilate, which like I said confirms the Gospels narrative. Another important source of evidence about Jesus and early Christianity can be found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. In one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians. Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity. At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians: “They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food - but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.” This passage provides a number of interesting insights into the beliefs and practices of early Christians. First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man. You may have heard of the scholar Flavius Josephus who mentioned James as being the brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, which matches what Paul said calling James “The Lord’s brother” and there is another document that Josephus may have written which goes: “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.” Now it’s up to debate wether this is the entirely original document of what Josephus wrote, or if a Christian had edited it. But regardless he wrote about the Lord Jesus Christ. Wether it was negative or positive like the possible document is. Anyways there are many other statements, documents, letters, and writings of all sorts from the ancient world talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and there is not one question if He was a real person or if He was crucified and went missing from the grave. That is clear as day, He is a real person, was crucified, and went missing from the grave. And He did rise from the grave. And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. It is the recount of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, now wether you want to believe it is up to you. And what profit was there in spreading Christianity, All the early Christian suffered persecution, beatings, and were killed. Another Scholar reported that James the Lord’s Brother was thrown off a building and then stoned to death for spreading the Gospel in Jerusalem. These people went to great lengths even giving their own lives for the Adon Jesus the Christ. Amen

Not only only do the size and surface area of the clamp to the desk make a difference, but also the fact that the boom connects over the desk (the circular hole) rather than on the overhang on the flimsier model, which would tend to put more stress on the clamp. So the Tonor one would have a different center of gravity.

Cardiod just means that its picking up sound from the front of the diaphragm plus a little from the sides. It's just more convenient to put it diagonal. Studios put their mics downwards so that the whole mic is warmed up properly and evenly.

@joannothing4 жыл бұрын
Nodi hey! Yes, i got it! You won't regret, you can save money buying this one instead another, this one feels sturdy and strong. The best advice i can give you is about the shock mount, if you own Blue Yeti Nano the wires will fit thigh in most of shock mounts i bought Auphonix which fits "fine".

Alright sounds good. Thanks for replying!

It really don't matter what way it faces, That just means you have to talk into it from the front, And it blocks out left right and from the behind! It don't matter what way the mic sits! The reason people tell you to do that is because its better to speak across the mic for spitting purposes but when its on a boom and you are sitting away from the mic, It don't matter either way! If you were holding a CB radio mic that's when this would matter! And you should never wrap wire around any kinda metal like that! You are pretty much making a coil

I'm pretty sure with cardioid as long as you're talking into the mic on the side with the Blue logo, I don't think it matters how the mic is oriented.

Just make sure you talk into the front of the capsule, if it’s got a cardioid pattern. If it’s omnidirectional it doesn’t matter. Makes no difference if the mic is upside down, on the side, whatever. Good vid tho.

The bottom/underside of my desk (on rear side/behind monitor), only has a small lip, because desk only has front exposed for your legs & stuff to go under. I planned on setting mount on rear of desk & bring boom arm to the front.... so not sure if the cheaper arm is better, because the bottom part of clamp on newer arm seems to be longer, I only have about 2inchs of clearance on the underside. Hmmm

The more expensive one is actually really solid even though the bottom isn't that "long" It literally doesn't move once you tighten it.

Hey, quick question: im getting my blue yeti mic in 1 week. i have no experience with mics etc because ive always used my standard headset mic. Do you recommend buying a different pop filter instead of using the one that comes with this bundle? And if so is one of those extended ones good or one of those that you put directly on your mic? And do you need one of those shockwave mounts?
@RAVisuals4 жыл бұрын
Hey! The pp filter that comes with this is perfectly fine! I use it everyday. Also, I do suggest getting a shock mount if you do any streaming or live production because it helps in those moments where you accidentally bump your mic or mic arm.

About the headphone hook... My desk has a solid side so their clamp would not work unless I cut a hole into the side of my desk (not going to happen). IMHO, their clamp should have a hook that sticks out from the desk - or one that is adjustable.

Do I have to purchase another connection (3/8 inch) or does the boom come with a standard 5/8 inch? Sorry, new to taking the yeti off the stand it came with. Thank you.

The yeti just needs to be unscrewed from the base it comes with. You need to use the adapter that comes with the boom arm to attach the microphone

Is this mic stand compatible with the Yeti Nano? I'm planning on purchasing this one for my Yeti Nano, but I am unsure If it is compatible with the Yeti Nano model. Also, you said in the video for the microphone to be tilted to the right, so that way it would be on it's side. Would it still be better if I had mine in that position like how you have yours, or would having it upright or in a different position make a better difference?
