Yes! Been using this tripod since last June and it’s been great! SO LIGHT and easy to pack for hikes.

Do you still like this tripod in April 2024? Thinking about getting it for an upcoming trip.

I'd say that K&F is value for money. Very happy with the filters and tripod I have.

Ah, that's what that little hook under the main rod is for! I always wondered. Great breakdown of the travel tripod, thanks. I have one with a similar design, it's great to have good height.

As long as you don’t use the hook for hanging a pot over a fire 🤣

Nice review Stephen. I use the similar ESDDI Camera Tripod but only because the adjustable portions are clip and not the screw tighten. It is also a little bit cheaper in cost. For the tripod weight I use an old camera lens bag then look for a small stone(s) to place in the bag. The lower you can place the wight the more stable the tripod will be. Keep up the great work.

We use the Manfrotto version, very similar in design, but it has a fluid video head on it.

I have that one as well actually but tend to use it on client shoots. It’s a bit heavier and bulkier than this one, but a great tripod, although nearly 3x the price

Great review as always sir! I have looked at k&f before but was not convinced. I just bought a 3LT whic is not CF so a bit heftier although it is grand. Can you screw different feet into the legs? Spikes would be handy to make a bit more stable.
@StephenJReid2 жыл бұрын
Can't add different feet to this one unfortunately

Can't understand why they just don't put snap locks on the legs in areas of screw lock. Is the height enough for talking headshots? What kind of tripod is used to actually shot this video? Also how did you shot the smooth slowmo broll in beginning? Gimbal? 🙏🏻
@StephenJReid2 жыл бұрын
I prefer the screw locks, faster once you get the technique right, less prone to breaking and easier to operate with gloves. Yeah height is tall enough for me talking to camera, I’m 5’ 11”. The tripod for used to shoot this is called “my sister” 😅 Shots at start handheld but shot at 100fps

@@StephenJReid Thanks! I was asking because I dont actually have any proper tripod, just 360 monopods and smaller tripod bases and I just looked at a KF one recently. This helped a lot!
@laurenthenry2 жыл бұрын
So if I follow you well, the base plate is compatible with the Peak Design v3 plate right ?

My 20 year old, 15 pound (weight, not price. I think that’s around 8000 kilos) Manfrotto is sitting in the corner looking nervous.

Still using it, haven’t found anything near this price that’s as good and has the same features. Several significantly more expensive options out there.

i got K&F Concept B1234M Travel Tripod ... taller , just a little bulkier and heavier (less than 1.2kg) but way more steady . And very cheap...there is an updated version with carbon fiber witch is a bit lighter than mine.
@RogerByrne10 ай бұрын
i ended up sending mine back along with a sony zve1 and 20mm lens, it was all getting too bulky for me and detracting from the actual things i was trying to enjoy.@@lopsii902

I wouldn't buy anything from this company. They have the worst customer service. They take your money and then they don't send you the product and then play games with you for weeks not giving you a product NOR your money back. I'll never buy anything from these clowns.

I’ve watched several of your videos and will be subscribing. You’re great at addressing likely viewer questions along with more insightful considerations. Good stuff. With that said… Production Feedback: If you reference an unavailable object for use as a comparison, I feel you should display an image of the item for unfamiliar viewers. Units of Measure: On screen conversions of weights and measures for unfamiliar viewers. Jump Cuts: Short ones can be too fast, while others could be trimmed. And, this might just be me, but I tend to watch your videos at 1.75x. I love what you’re saying, but sometimes am easily distracted and have been called impatient. Just thoughts. You’re awesome.
