Would tripod make better pics when doing long exposure shots
@jaspercaelan49982 жыл бұрын
I used one of their tripods a few years ago but I wasn't so impressed with the build quality. The ball head came loose within the first year and had to be replaced, one of the twist locks also came off the frame and I had to glue it back on with superglue. I also found the legs vibrated even under only a small amount of wind. The old saying buy cheap, buy twice can be very true with tripods. I eventually replaced it with an Innorel CT75C and can say it has none of the issues the K&F tripod had. It is more expensive at £200 but still nowhere near the crazy money you would pay for brands like Gitzo or Really Right Stuff. Just be careful what you buy when it comes to tripods, ideally you will want something that will outlast your camera.

Thank you. This is one of the tripods I have on my Amazon wish list right now. I have a good Bogen/Manfrotto tripod, but I'm wanting something a little more compact and lighter as well. It's good to know that this would be a good choice. There are so many times that my current tripod just seems like overkill. Oh, and I've looked at some of the smaller ones, but I'm a tall guy, so the height on this one is probably about ideal, if not still a little short.

One thing a monopod is good for, other than self-defence... i (not infrequently) use it to reach into places to get angles that are otherwise impossible. So i'll set everything on the camera, including a best-guess manual focus, stick it somewhere, line it up using the live view (a fully articulating screen is the go), and fire it on a 12s timer or remote. It's also handy to carry a few metres of paracord to tie it to things or help with suspending it over the abyss. Cheers.

Thanks for the video Johsua. What I'm really looking for, and I imagine that I´m in the same boat as many people these days, is a tripod that can do both photography and video, and that can handle my DSLR and a heavy lens. One that doesn't break the bank - maybe a bit much to ask..

Great review. What happened to the video best I could get was 360p resolution? I did not notice the video was late so no apology required. Don't fret if you fail to make it according to your time frame, it is after all "your" time frame

Great video, I have the same tripod and I agree, it does everything you need a tripod to do and at a sensible price, I have used it with my sigma 150 600mm for birding, and no issues st all,, and that's a big lens.

I did check out your website, and I’m really curious what website builder you use for it, or did you ever make a video about building a website as a photographer?

Hi Joshua. Great series of videos. Just wondering if you felt comfortable using the 250d in the wet weather? I have a 250 as well and panic at the thoughts of rain haha
@TheJoshuaPeg2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ray. In severe rain, I use a shower cap over it to keep it dry. The pictures I took today were under the cover of trees. Although it’s not weather sealed, if I’m sensible in the rain, I’m happy to use it
@goldenfrog6EsCoSes2 жыл бұрын
@@TheJoshuaPeg I never thought about using a shower cap - I must try to find a non- girly one! I shoot with the 90D, which, I believe, is weather sealed to certian extent, but I'd be worried about using it in a downpour.

Thanks for the great review, got my finger on the checkout button but am wondering if you think this tripod would be ok for a pair of binoculars weighing 2.5kgs, have read that some people think the bolt is very short and could of been a bit longer

Excellent video,right up my street. I don’t think you need to spend thousands on gear,especially starting out. May give this tripod a go. Wonder if they do a smaller column for low shots.
@TheJoshuaPeg2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😁 I believe they do a smaller column. The column itself is height adjustable, so you don’t need to use it at full height anyway 😁

Can you add a pan handle to this? If not, is it easy to pan a lightweight camera body and lens?

Hi there Joshua. Thanks for the informative video, however I have one quetion. Can you totally remove the center column for ground-level shots? And I don't mean reversing the column, I know this can be done. Im talking when legs go flat on the ground - so the whole tripod is as low as possible (least intimidating for wildlife / easiest to conceal).
@TheJoshuaPeg Жыл бұрын
Yes you can!
@TatraScrambler Жыл бұрын
@@TheJoshuaPeg Wow, thanks for the quick reply. Are you positive? I checked every single offer on the internet and none of them mention this. So when you remove the central column, how do you then attach the tripod head? is there like an additional super-short column included in the set? Thanks for claryfing!

Would this tripod work with a iPhone 14pro?

Does the ball head have a fast way to lock it in horizontally or vertically? My tripod is a plate type, non ball head, and once I level my tripod, I know my camera is straight with the horizon.
@TheJoshuaPeg2 жыл бұрын
It does, plus the plate has a spirit level built in so it’s pretty easy to get level with the horizon 😁

Well you should spend more for better quality tripod if your gear costs that much. This is more for hobbyists who needs their first tripod and don't want to spend that much money.
