I really like this boat. I do have a pedal drive that works well in big water, but I love my Ascend for creek fishing!

It’s easy to add handles to the side. You just drill a couple of holes in the side up near the top and rivet you some handles in place.

Does this boat fill up with water when it rains? I didn't see ant scupper holes. Does it have them? I am starting to look into this boat to see if it would work for me.

It does have scupper holes and they do an excellent job of draining the water. This model was my first kayak, and it worked really well for me. I still have one, and I fish out of it from time to time.

Is this thing stable enough to float/jump shoot ducks from in small rivers?

It is not the most stable for sure. I wouldn't do a lot of jumping around until I was sure of myself. And definitely wear a PFD.

Can you add a trolling motor to the bow?

The manufacturer would be where to ask that question. I did a quick search for a DIY set-up and could not find one. Most of the DIY mounts I saw were Stern mounts I have never thought about converting mine. Sorry I couldn't help more.
