I've been there 2 yrs in a row. I highly recommend to eat the a la cart dinners at there sisters resort. Like the Brazilian steak house, French restaurant, Seafood, Steak House, Hibachi those are the ones that are out of resort. They are way better there.

I would add Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya to the list. Very budget friendly, brand new reno and that great Hyatt service. It's right next door to Ocean Royale Maya.

My wife and I stay at this resort in September of 23 it used to be secrets capri witch we stay before but honestly I’ve like ocean maya royale best we have stay there more than 10 times !

Platinum Yucatan Princess is one of the most underrated adult-only budget-friendly all-inclusives out there in this part of Mexico. A little worn at this point in terms of furnishings, but a great value with a beach bar, good food, swim-up rooms (some swim-up rooms connect with the general main pool), separate sports facility, and access to the very large family-friendly resort next door (Grand Riviera and Sunset Princess resorts with a sports bar, lots of nightly entertainment, large beach, lots of pools). Stay at one play at 3!

Totally agree on Barcelo Maya Riveria , by far the best hotel I have stayed in . But the restaurant food was mid at best . Now the buffet is top notch .

My wife and I went to Barcelo Maya Riveria in April last year and thought the food at the buffet and the restaurants were great. We usually got what the waiters recommended and were never disappointed

My wife and I have been going to Cancun playa del Carmen for the past 20 years we have stay in many adults only hotels but our favorite one is none other than ocean maya royal we have stay more than 10 times !

Been to Majestic Elegance 3 times in 2,5 years ! Best bang for your buck when it comes to room size, service, pools, beach and food. Steak house is awesome, sushi and hibachi is good, Italian was good and buffets are awesome . Property is beautiful. There is a new management since 2023 and less people working , so service level was a little down compared to 2021 and 2022.

In my opinion all resorts should be booked with an experienced travel/vacation advisor. They have access to many helpfull websites for information on properties and what type of client should stay there.

Thanks for watching! The ones on the list with the nice beach are RIU and Royalton Chic. If you like a party resort than Royalton Chic- there’s also waves at that one RIU has calmer water and seems like it’s more relaxed but then you can take the shuttles to the other RIUs. I personally would pick Royalton Chic because I like that section of beach more. But you would have to get a deal to get budget pricing

Riu Palace Las America's is not a party vibe. However, Riu Cancun next door, or using your free shuttle to the Riu Parties 3 times a week can provide that. (Stayed at Riu Palace Las America's in 2023, and 2024. Riu Cancun 2019, Riu Latino 2023.)

We liked Excellence Playa Mujeres and sometimes you can great deals during certain times. (Like$400 per night for 2). Also I heard Hyatt Ziva Cancun was pretty good.
