It has a helical focuser. Rotate the red ring to unlock and you can focus by rotating the front part of the scope. Then you can lock the red ring after finished.

I have one of these and I use it often. It's one of the FEW ways in Astrophotography to save some $ and get great results.

I have some troubles to install the guide scope on my Celestron Nexstar Evolution 9.25".

You don't have to just slide the camera in and out to focus, if you undo the red ring a little it allows you to screw the front part of the scope out by up to about 5cm and then you lock in in place by tightening the ring again. Yeah that's good. Although you can fine tune it that way. I find, for initial focus I need to move it around and then fine tune it. Thanks for the tip 😉

@@AstroOnbudget I have an Apertura 60mm with blue trim. Guide cam is an Altair Astro which is purple. Atik camera is red. It's a rainbow!

I looked at these as I wanted something lighter as the current one I have is an 80 mm x 328 mm (focal ratio: 1:4.1) which weighs in at 1.5 kg and on my NEQ6 PRO I am at the threshold of maximum load for the mount when all the kit is mounted. I only have a colour guide camera SVBONY 305 PRO, so do you think the smaller aperture would be an issue?

Hey John, SVbony 305 Pro should work well. In terms of aperture, I don't think it would make much noticable difference. Perhaps, with fast aperture, you could guide with very dim stars but why would you when there are many bright stars in the sky in almost every region so I don't anticipate that being an issue
