I have read that in the Philippines I will have to fly to other islands and then over to Phuket and Bangkok then back to the states. DO I do this once I get there? I’m not sure about Thailand I’ve never been, definitely have to fly from Manila or Cebu to fly internationally. But it’s not hard to set up flights around the Philippines. Just might need ground transportation also, so be prepared.

Indonesia is cheap yes but aside from Bali it doesn’t get much of a recommendation for safety such as Jakarta. But it could be on there. Iran is hard to recommend due to the instability with government there. But country is amazing and people are fantastic

Lies. Im a avid traveler. I was in vietnam in multiple places ranging fr hanoi to sapa. Hotel are averaging at least 150/day for 4 stars. However keep in mind their 4 stars is more of 2.5-3 star in the US. The only thing that is adorable is food. But overall vietnam is cheaper.

Prices have been going up especially over the last 1.5 years but you can still find cheap food and cheap accommodation in these places even now. I am in Thailand right now you can still find good lunch for under 1 dollar same in Vietnam and Philippines. And as far as accommodation the cheap stuff still exists just have to look for it without searching google.

Flight costs from the USA to some of these destinations are outrageous, even in non-peak times. Also there are many months in most of theses destinations that you most defmnitely do NOT want to be there due to the weather.

If you have the traveling time to deal with jet lag and/or link countries that helps. Most people don't. Of course you have to fly home sometime. That's $1,400 for your trip to Thailand. That's only if you live near a major international airport or else you have more travel expense. And the weather. Definitely need to consider that! I wouldn't take an all expenses paid trip to most of India in June-August. The list goes on.
