I've been eating scrapple all my life when I opened my butcher shop in Alpharetta GA the first time I made it I made a small batch and I put it out on a Saturday morning and within 15 minutes time it was gone. I started selling anywhere from 20 to 25 loafs a week period now that I'm retired I make it at home and I slice it and vacuum pack it and freeze it and when I want scrapple I pull a pack out open it fry it up. I'm with you Bob. I do NOT like runny Mac-n-Cheese. I'm from the South and my Grandmother's Macaroni was almost like a thick "Souffle". I have tried to recreate and I think I'm pretty close but it is still not hers. Love your channel by the way.

Hey Bob, Jeff Barry from Lebanon you’re killing me with that buffet. now there’s one in Myerstown it’s called Dutch way it’s not a very big Buffet but it’s usually pretty good. I’m dying to go there but I have a hard time getting up in the morning but from what I understand it’s five days a week. They also have an omelette station or Friday station

I love your content. I lived in the U.S. midwest for four years (Ohio--and before anyone asks, no, I am not a Buckeye, however, I was there for graduate school just a little north of the O-H-I-O state.). But that was nearly 30 years ago now. It is funny to see how little midwestern food has changed these last three decades. If you ask me what I miss now that I live in northern Nevada, it would be Waffle House, Amish food, and Graeter's Ice Cream. But then, we have amazing BBQ, awesome Mexican food (not Tex-mex), and since we are relatively close to the Tillamook Creamery, we have some amazing cheeses, plus Napa Valley is just over the hill, excellent wines, and as rare as Amish food out here is, we have perfect Basque food and culture.

Have you done the buffets in Vegas high end like Wynn Caesars Bellagio. Then the chinese ones w lobster and crab legs? Lol of them do 90 to 120 min time limit. The Wynne has amazing reviews

It's good to see you don't waste fried chicken. Unlike Joel Hansen who throws out all the skin and coatings when he eats fried chicken at a buffet. What a waste when they also serve skinless, boneless chicken breast. It's one thing to actually eat a lot of food but it breaks my heart watching him needlessly throw out half the chicken (also half the ketchup and hot sauce since he refills it every plate but throws out half it too every plate.)

@@NotoriousBOB you know what I miss here in Chicago area are Ponderosa/Bonanza Steakhouse. That was my favorite buffet they have the best damn chicken wings. Used to crush 30-40 of them plus all the other buffet items. They gradually started disappearing in the early 2000s, I would travel to Indiana to still be able to go then those started disappearing then the closest one left was about 150 miles away and that one closed last year :(

If you think about it, it's the perfect place for a restaurant cause they can get most of not all of their food feet away. I want to try scrapple! Best scrambled eggs are made slowly. Takes me about 20-30 minutes on simmer and take off runny. So good. First I like to fry bacon and with bacon grease I use with the scrambled eggs. What a Bitter old man.😂

You should try to pretend those single use plastic trays are 'all you can eat in a single tray.' I bet you could literally put 4 times more food per single use plastic tray before it goes straight to the dump (or a convoluted pretend trip to the recycling facility before it ends up in a dump.) 🐢😿
