Hi Sarah this is where I probably have the most experience in skincare 😂. My skin is highly reactive with both rosacea and eczema. A few products I really like are: Kate Somerville Delicate cleanser and moisturiser - spendy but really soothing and moisturising Paula's choice ultra rich moisturiser or their omega serum and moisturiser - still a little spendy, but great products Zeroid oint cream - my new favourite day cream and affordable 😂 ( 80mls for £20) Skin food propolis essence - this is my favourite propolis product Cosrx peptide essence or propolis toner - both affordable basics Azelaic acid - really great for skin Benton redness relief sheet mask - a rescue remedy for a rosacea flare as it truly takes down redness Best wishes x

THIS is probably my favorite topic in skincare. More so than anti-aging even because by the time you hit my age unless you have surgery there's only so much you can do. I won't go under the knife for vanity....can't bring myself to do it. So skincare it is. Possibly a device or two (have you tried the ZIIP halo device? I have not but am considering it) I absolutely MUST give another shout out to Prequel's redness reform serum because truth be told it's the most soothing serum I have. It's formulated to optically reduce visible redness and is said to decrease overall redness as you use it over time. When I first got into skincare, as in TRULY into skincare ( I always washed my face and moisturized but that was the extent of it), I was much heavier and my facial skin was very red. People would ask me if I was sunburned in the dead of the alaskan winter that's how red it got. So throughout this whole journey and after my rosacea diagnosis I started paying much closer attention to ingredients and products which helped to soothe my skin and calm the redness. And again another major contributing factor to reducing my redness turned out to be chemical exfoliation. Between AHAs, centella, heartleaf, beta glucan, the redness reform serum, use of gentle HYDRATING and NOURISHING barrier-supporting toners/essences, and layering my skincare, my overall skin health has dramatically changed and the redness is barely noticeable now relatively speaking. You and I live in the worst climates to have naturally drier skin (and mature skin in my case) so we have be extra vigilant at all times. I reapply skincare products throughout the day if necessary.

Lots of interesting things. This is good to have at least one of these handy in case we carried away with retinol or retinal. Thanks Sarah for doing this❤

Is there another cream you like that works better? One of my favorites but maybe that is because I deal so much with redness, sensitivity as well as dryness. What type of skin do you have- dry, oily, combination? Have you tried the Cosrx Snail Cream before? Might be worth a try!

@ I actually have type 1 rosacea so redness is my number 1 priority with anti-aging being 2nd (almost 37) and pores being third. Anyway in terms of budget skincare I would say s.nature aqua squalane moisturizing cream. But only at night as it is very moisturizing. I haven’t tried the cosrx one but I have tried the coxir black snail collagen cream and I enjoyed that. I enjoy luxury skincare mostly but I love some budget heroes as well. Another budget goodie is the mediheal madecassoside blemish pad it helps with redness. I find it calming.

Hi Sarah. I’m getting ready to do my 5 th TCA13 Peel from Platnuim Skincare. They are amazing. Iam determined to do 5 layers this time on my face and chest in hopes it will get rid of my very stubborn larger dark spots. They are almost gone, but a few are hanging on. I love Platnuim Skincare products and Peels. After this one ( a series of 5-6) I will either increase strength and or add another Peel with the TCA. Their customer service is amazing. 😊

ATTENTION! I just bought the midnight blue recovery and it DID sting. Pretty badly lol. I over did it with the retinol. I used the I’m from toner- did NOT sting. The skin 1004 Centella serum and cream- neither stung. The farmacy honey halo cream did not sting. Then on top used the cica last cream from La roche posay. Did not burn either. Hope this helps someone

Oh thank you so much, so glad you found me here! In Minnesota I know all about dry and dehydrated winter skin! I actually made a couple videos tailored to this concern, one about the best thick winter moisturizers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4rJYX-pjbSHb6s I also did an article about it in my Newsletter a few weeks ago. The biggest things are considering a humidifier for your bedroom, limit the heat in showers (this is a tough one for me), and adding in a good hydrating serum before your moisturizer. A good toner also helps to add some moisture - the I'm From Rice Toner is great for this as well.

I heard the prequel brand has some great things for calming and hydrating skin and the Experiment brand both affordable. I have a few things I want to try then the good light abc oil sounds kinda interesting for added something in the winter. Have u heard of it ? I almost bought it last night at Ulta and the Naturium ceramide serum I heard was super nice for soothing. I bought my first Naturium product last night the bio lipid oil foam body wash , I made an online pickup order with my son's girlfriend gift a haircare set from Redken that she was wanting to try and they actually put the bottle of oil body wash on its side with the gift set didn't even wrap it in another bag and it opened and leaked all over her present and the bag , I was so upset it's common sense to seperate the product and I had already had issues with them because I ordered it 2 weeks ago and they never sent the package then said they got my package that I sent back for refund ? Then I had to pay full price for it because they wouldn't let me use the coupon again. So the issues I had with this gift from Ulta was crazy and a quarter of the bottle leaked out everywhere SMH O not about soothing but I know u like to try stuff for your hyperpigmentation, have u heard of Mother science ? They have this serum in a silver bottle that looks really interesting and I have heard a ton of great things about and people getting real results.
