Do you prefer a ball head on your tripod? I've starting to move away from them and using fluid video heads if I'm not going super light weight. Speaking of ND and CPL filters, I have settled on K+F filters. Not the cheapest but excellent quality at a reasonable price. Even better prices if you purchase from their Canadian website rather than Amazon or local dealers. Nice sunsets at the end! I'm so looking forward to the days getting longer so I can make it out to Iona after work before the sun sets. You seem to spend a lot of time there so maybe I'll bump into you there one evening.

I don't really have a preference - this tripod I got because it's small and lightweight which is perfect for travel. It happen to come with a ball head. But I'm planing on getting a fluid head as well just to have both lol. In terms of filters I have Neewer which are very good and I use always. I also have a K&F, a Gobe and a Hoya. Sure thing, we can meet up in Iona and shoot some juicy sunsets.

@@adriancaleanu I have one set of Neewer filters that I just received but haven't had a chance to use yet. I generally like the quality (for the price) of other Neewer accessories that I've acquired but wasn't sure about the optical quality of their filters. Happy to hear that they meet with your approval. The weather forecast this weekend looks promising so unless my wife has other plans for me I'm hoping to head out to Iona tomorrow afternoon to shoot some birds and stay for the sunset. I'll watch for you in case you're there.

@@stevef1314 Yeah, Neewer filters are good. They don't alter the photos in any other way than what they're intended for. I might go on Seymour tomorrow but if not, I can meet you there. I saw a couple of bald eagles last time I was there.

@@adriancaleanu There is actually an eagle nest just inside the fence line at the back of the west pond. You can see it from the road if you know where to look. I'll send you an email to the address on your YT homepage with my email so we can arrange to meet if you decide not to go to Seymour.

If you're shooting handheld and want better low light capability, go for the 2.8. If you're shooting on a tripod and low light capability is not a must, then f/4. If you're shooting strictly landscapes then f/4 should do, but if you want to shoot other types of photography down the road like portraits or products then f/2.8 will give you the extra light and extra bokeh. You'll have to compare prices as well. The f/2.8 is more expensive than the f/4 so that's another aspect you need to consider. Hope this helps.
