IN THE WILD I show you the Tenba Fulton v2 16L All-Weather Camera Backpack. I've used it a lot lately, especially on a 10-day adventure, and in this video I show you how I pack it, what goes inside, and why I love traveling with this camera backpack. #camerabag #camerabackpack #sonya7iv

Hi Chris, it’s a pleasure to help. Just today I had a photo shoot and I used my 16L for my Sony, Lenses and battery powered monolight flash. Suddenly the client asked me to take a group photo, and I needed another monolight flash. Fortunately, I keep a backup set of equipment in my car in my 14L. So, I went down to my car, brought the bag up and used the flash to save the day with the photo shoot. I just wanted to let you know that both camera backpacks - the 16L and 14L came in handy today !! I use them a lot and none of the straps have torn off or been damaged. And I use these bags all the time. They’ve been great investments. Thanks so much for leaving a comment. I hope you have a great rest of your week. 👍🏻😃📷

I used it today for a photo shoot I had. I was doing headshots of professionals and portraits of dogs. It’s a wonderful camera backpack. I also have the Tenba Fulton V2 14 L but I don’t use it as much because it’s a little too small for my gear. I like the design of the smaller bag, and it still holds my back up equipment, but the 16L is the champ in my camera backpack world. Some people who have seen my videos on KZbin have bought the 16L and come back to tell me how much they love it. So, if you get it, you will be in good company!! 😊 Thanks so much for leaving a comment, Nancy. It means a lot. 🙏🏻😄

Thanks for the review! I've been looking at this backpack for a while now. I feel like it's missing an additional zipp pocket on the back or hidden pocket to store my wallet, keys and phone. I would not trust these items to be stored in the front pocket.

You are very welcome. I can see you have researched this bag carefully because you can’t find an additional zippered pocket on the back or a hidden pocket for wallet, keys or phone. You are correct, there is no dedicated pocket. I have not found this a problem as I usually have my phone in my pants pocket and wallet zipped into a jacket pocket. I do keep my keys in the bag. It’s probably not the perfect bag for everyone, and if you find a different bag that has what you need that’s probably best. Still, I use the 16L and 14L every day (I prefer the size of the 16L as my main bag. The 14L carries my backup gear in case my main camera or flash malfunction). I like the size of the 16L because it carries more of my favorite lenses. As you say, it doesn’t have ideal wallet and phone compartments, but there is enough space for those items, but maybe not with the quick access that you desire. Thanks so much for watching my video and for taking the time to leave a comment. I hope you find just the right bag for you! 🏆👍🏻😊

Yes it’s a bit frustrating! I’ve noticed lately that I have to take the whole backpack off to add or remove stuff from the pack. I guess since I don’t know of any packs that let you do this, I don’t realize how much easier it could be. But if that’s something that’s important to you, it’s good that you realize it before buying this backpack. I will say I’ve been using it for a couple years now on a regular basis and I love the pack because it’s sturdy, it’s never torn or ripped, and it has protected all my gear.

@@animaldonut Hey Jeff, try the "turn back to front" trick. It's insane, i tried sending you a video, but I didn't find a single one online! Essentially: you need a waist belt. - You close the waist belt - you take your arms out of the straps. - you turn the bagpack from back to your front, so its now in front of your belly - The waist strap will hold the back up and you have both hands free to work. - The bag also stays clean this way if you're somewhere where you don't/cant put it down. - you skip the side access which is less secure for traveling (also i found it more awkward than doing this technique) I often use my backpack as table pretty much. easily exchanigng lenses with two hands. been doing this for a decade almost and am surprised almost nobdy knows this

Hi Jeff! It's been a while. Can you tell me, if you can "open" up the camera compartment to the day back compartment? So that I essentially have one big compartment like a regular backpack. Both for the 14L and 16L version. I want the bigger bag, but I don't need the bigger camera compartment. Idea is to upen up the compartment, use more of the top one and keep a small portion of the camera part. Strange story, I actually had the 14L for a week. Liked it, (especially the weight), but idea was to use it as everyday carry. The moment I tried to put some gym clothes in (pants, shirt, towel and shoes), I noticed that this may be a bit too small so I returned it (also cause I wanted to use this for weekend trips maybe). Now almost a year later, I keep coming back to the Fulton though, can't find a different bag I like.

Yes! You just remove a Velcro panel and the top and camera compartment are contiguous. So it’s a big day pack with as much or little dedicated to camera gear as you want. I have the 14L as you know, but the 16L is my travel bag. Roomier, especially if you want to stash everyday carry stuff like gym clothes, pants, shirt, etc. I think shoes would take up too much room. Maybe you could attach them to the outside? Thanks so much for your comment!

@DDHDTV Happy to help. Don’t be too hard on yourself - it’s hard to see those details sometimes. The 14L is solid but the 16L is not that much bigger or bulkier and it’s nice to have the extra capacity for clothes, etc., and there’s virtually no penalty for the extra 2L in size!! Happy to have you as part of the channel!!! 🙏🏻😊🏆

Hey thanks for the comment. It’s a good bag for me but I haven’t been caught in the rain 🌧️ yet. It does come with a waterproof rain cover with elastic edges that wrap around to keep rain off bag, zippers, and gear. Have you found a better backpack? I ask because I would like to make another video and maybe I can do an in-depth video about a bag you think is better, especially if it provides the added benefit of a waterproof zipper! Thanks again for your compliment on the video. I really appreciate it, it means a lot.

thank you for the review! I reeally wanted the 14L to work for me. the size is perfect, but I can not live wirhout a waist belt. Been using a Lowepro Flipside for over 5 years now, and I can not see myself changing lenses without the “waist belt on turn backpack to fromt” trick. do you guys always put you back down for changing lenses?? 16L is a bit too big for my little frame haha, i’m 172cm (5’6”). may I ask how tall you are? to get a feeling for the size on you
@animaldonut
@animaldonut Жыл бұрын
Hey DDHDTV, I didn’t know the “ waist belt on turn back back to front” trick and I can see why the 16L would be appealing! The nice thing about that bag is the waist strap is detachable so if you want it, you can keep it on, and if you don’t, you can remove it easily. I am about 6 feet tall, so that should give you an idea for the fit. One thing you could try if you live in the US is ordering it from Amazon. If it doesn’t fit right, you can send it back and they won’t charge you for it. Are you outside of the United States? If so, maybe I can measure the 16L and that would help you get an idea if it would fit or be too big for your 172cm frame. Now that I think about it, you must be outside the US, because nobody in the US uses centimeters to measure height! 😄 Thank you so much for your comment, and let me know if you have any other questions about these TENBA 14L and 16L bags. I have both and use them all the time. I’m here and always happy to help.

Greetings Jeff. Nice review. One question: have you traveled on a domestic flight and attempted to put that pack under the seat? Tenba claims it will work, in real life has this been your experience? Thanks
@animaldonut
@animaldonut Жыл бұрын
Hey Quinn, thanks for letting me know you like the review. Yes, I’ve traveled on domestic flights with it and I have slid it under the seat in front of me, and it fits. I usually put it above me (it’s my 2nd carry on bag) and just take my laptop, book, snacks to my seat because I’m tall and appreciate the leg room :) However, I do remember wanting to have all my stuff available at my seat, and slid it under that seat in front of me. Only problem was little leg room! But the flight attendants didn’t utter a peep! They seemed fine with it!

Does it not bother you, for a run and gun wildlife shooting, you have to get the camera from behind?
@animaldonut
@animaldonut 4 ай бұрын
Hi, for run and gun shooting this bag would not be useful. I’d say an over-the-shoulder bag would be better, something with decent padding and capable of being secured so things don’t bounce out. However, the backpack design makes it take at least 1/2 minute to remove the pack, unzip, and get to shooting. Also, how have to be careful to “re-zip” before you continue because the other lenses, etc are going to fall out when you grab the pack to move it - so if you have this bag you must careful to always zip closed after you remove what you need. Wildlife shooting you might miss a shot, so that over-the shoulder to protect when the camera itself is not in use is your best bet. Thanks for your excellent question!! 🙏🏻📷😊

@@animaldonut I thought so, Im looking for that one bag to rule them all. Minimal yet versatile, allows for 200-600mm body attached, doesnt look like a camera bag and easily taken the camera in and out of the bag. This wouldve been perfect for me, If it allowed to get the camera out from the top. Although I found it with Vanguard Veo Adaptor R48! 👍😊
