Not a fan. I’m a bow tech full time. The risers strip out a lot and their customer service isn’t the best. Takes forever to get anything done with them. And for a carbon bow, the things a boat anchor.

Bowtech killed it this year...ive shot several bows, landed on the SS34. For me it was the draw cycle, balance and stability. Cant go wrong w/BT!

honestly, I was super surprised myself when I shot it. The draw cycle was very smooth. I just wish the riser design was a little more stream line.

Mach 34 with EC2 cam would be the one.. The S2 cam just blows in my opinion. Its quick, but you pay for it!

I have the Mach34 s2 at 60# limbs low letoff mods and upgraded to the TAP titanium cable slide. It draws really smooth with a very small dump at the end of the cycle. I’m using it as a hunting bow only so I’m shooting a different bow primarily for another 6-7 weeks. I believe when I consistently shoot the Mach34 the very small dump will go unnoticed to feeling non existent in my draw cycle. Honestly, hardly feeling it now with minimal time behind it.
@DeadHeadArchery

I would agree, even the harsher draw cycles can be almost nonexistent if you shoot it a ton. thanks for the comment and appreciate you for watching.

Good review . My only issue is if you don’t like the s2 cam on the pse then shoot the ec2 cam. Compare those with the other two.

@@DeadHeadArchery that’s fair and I completely understand. People should understand pse offers additional options. I’m not a fan boy of pse and choosing a bow is all personal preference. I thought the vtm was great last year but slowly fell out of love with it and went with a Mach 34 with ec2 cams. Had a halon before the vtm.

I would love your evaluation on the PSE with the EC2 cam and a speed report. I am on the fence between a PSE/EC2 cam Fortis 34 and a Bowtech SS34. Thoughts?
@DeadHeadArchery
@DeadHeadArchery Жыл бұрын
Check out the bow build video we posted on the Fortis, the EC2 cam has a more comfortable draw cycle then the S2. Thanks for the suggestion when we get our hands on a PSE Carbon with a different cam we will get a review posted. The Bowtech currently is very smooth but you do sacrifice some speed, just depends what your priority is. Either way your going to be stoked!!

Bowtech has made carbon bows for years. Carbon knight turned into the icon then into the zion. The zion is also a pound lighter.

I shoot my phase 4 more often than my rx7U just based off the grips. I need ultraview to come out with a grip for the RX7U! Sidenote..... After adding the necessary additions to the rx7u it now weighs the same as my phase 4.

@@kylemacdonell1450 Stabilizers, rest, quiver etc..... The Rx7 tends to act like a sail so atleast for me it required 2x 3x the amount of stabilizer weights. Its archery though so what works for me doesn't mean it will work for another. Still a great bow that I love shooting.

You could shoot the PSE at 60# and get the same speed as the Hoyt or Bowtech. You should compare draw cycle with all of the bows set up to shoot the same arrow at the same speed. Try the PSE at 60# and report back

Why would you not consider weight!? That's the whole point in a carbon bow, is it not?
@DeadHeadArchery
@DeadHeadArchery 8 ай бұрын
it is but we assumed that they are all going to be light. What we wanted to see was how they performed and shot. In the end everyone puts all different sorts of accessories and weights on their bows so to me, weight isn't that huge of a deal breaker.
@chrisochoa1222
@chrisochoa1222 Жыл бұрын
Couple things you missed on the bows. 1) the Hoyt has a stab/dampener on it in the front 2) Bowtech 100% in comfort not the same in performance hence the draw cycle and it also has orbit dampeners as well 3) shooting the S2 stiff cam and on 90% let off is the worst possible scenario. When you have higher let off your draw cycle suffers typically the lower the let off the better the cycle. You can tell it was on 90% cause it looked long DL. If your want apples to apples shoot the EC2 cam on Mach 34 and 80%. I don’t mind these videos but too many people see these with out knowing all the facts. I work in a shop it all matters. Not saying your wrong but all facts not to be accounted for especially for that amount of money a persons spending. Also pse has adjustable let off on the bow with two turns of an Allen and no press needed. Good review though just some info missing.

Also, if going in to film a video, don't be "that" guy that holds up the whole line because you're talking/shooting/making a video. Those three guys waiting to retrieve arrows looked annoyed.
