Mathews Lift 33 Speed Test (HONEST)

We put the Mathews Lift 33 to the test with 4 different arrow weights 350, 400, 450 and 500 grain arrows. This should help you know what to expect for speed if your planning on purchasing this new bow for 2024.

Both this review and the Hoyt review are off on speeds. The Hoyt in every test I have done is 5-8fps min slower than the Lift at matched specs. Maybe the chrono. My Lift 33 at 28.5/74lbs/450gr arrow is clocking 294 consistently. So something is truly off here. The Lift gives up almost 1/2" in draw length when compared to the previous Mathews models with the same listed draw length mods. The older Switch Weight mods were always 1/2''-5/8" long. These new SWX mods are maybe 1/4" long on some at most from my tests.

Warranty or not, this is bs and everyone should get a refund and not have to wait weeks to get their bow back because they’re gonna miss hunting time. Ya it’s definitely an odd situation with their limbs but they are fixing it and giving a full warranty even for second hand owners. Appreciate you watching and commenting 💪🏻

My lift 33 is set at 75lbs, 31.5” draw and is shooting a 460 grain arrow at 308 fps.

I have a lift 33 and it's 70 lbs and 30.5 inch draw length with a 490 grain arrow getting 282 fps.

🤔 I think I might have to stick with my pse omen. 80lbs, 29” draw, 458gr arrow moving 318-320 fps. It’s so fast precision cut archery can’t make me a sight tape 😂 very forgiving for such a short brace hight. But I’ll probably get the lift either way just cause archery is to much fun😂

Did you say 28.5 in draw ? That seems really slow, I recently shot my v3x 33 against a lift 29.5 at a pro shop with 470 grain arrow, both bows 28/70 my 33 was 274 and the 29.5 was 270. Was planning to buy one but when it was slower than my 33 which is not known as a fast bow I had to pass. Could have been the timing was off or something either way I was shocked

@@DeadHeadArchery the whisker biscuit is a speed killer 100% also causes accuracy issues if you don't hold your bow arm perfectly still as you release.

@@FullDrawOutdoors we have since opted to use a drop away for all of our speed test videos moving forward. We just posted a Hoyt RX8 speed test and got much better results.

The only LIFT that is sub 4lbs it’s the smaller one and it says 3.99lbs while the 33 is 4.2. There are plenty of other bows shorter that are the same or light weight. That’s a bs selling point. 🤬Matthew’s
