One Finance has made some changes recently. Their debit card now earns 2% cash back, up to $50, on purchases at Walmart as well as gas and drugstore purchases for the next 12 months. Their savings account now earns 3% APY.

What would be the best debit card for direct deposit?
@CalebBaleFinance Жыл бұрын
Hello! I’d say Juno because they actually give you one of their JCOIN for every direct deposit dollar. You can trade those in for gift cards and some other things. Plus you get 5% back on your balance. Here’s my review: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqnSfoadZd9ojrM

Which one of these cards is good for paying bills online? Cell, electric, Car Pmt? Etc. I'm looking for an alternative bank account.
@CalebBaleFinance2 жыл бұрын
Hey Toni! Great question. My personal favorite is the Point Card, especially for something like cell because it gets you phone insurance when you pay your bill with it. The Cheese card also does this so it's another great option. The Discover card is my second favorite of all these because it has no monthly fee and you still get 1% back with it. Another nice thing about the Point Card is it has a virtual card as well for those online purchases, that way if your card number is ever stolen on the web, you still have your physical card to pay for things. One other card that's catching my attention (and will get a review soon) is the Enzo card which will get you 1.5-2% back on rent payments too if you rent. I haven't gotten around to doing a review on it yet, but I'd like to soon. Let me know if there's any other way I can help!

I've been thinking about this lately since hearing about debit card cashbacks. Are credit card payments made from your debit card qualified for cashbacks? I'm not entirely sure because debit card accounts are different from bank accounts itself, right?
@CalebBaleFinance3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the good question, Dredd. I actually have no idea if credit card payments made from a debit card qualify for cashback as I've never done that. I would guess not because Point specifically mentions "manufactured spending" like buying gift cards as not a qualifying purchase for cashback. Others might, though. I actually consider them to be basically identical because a debit card account requires a bank account to pull from for the purchases. So each of these debit cards I put in this video all have their own bank account associated with them. Thanks for asking and hope that helps clarify things!
