Best Cast Net Ever Made - Silver Catch Chain Net

I was stunned! This has to be the best cast net ever made! I compare the Silver Catch chain net with my traditional Old Salt casting net for fishing and bait. I bought it on eBay using some of the tens of dollars I earn on KZbin. Excellent purchase! It is an easy throw cast net for bait that is very forgiving - even a bad throw opens wide! I have used Fitec and Old Salt nets in my earlier reviews. This is the best casting net, hands down. Check out this video to see its amazing performance. Silver Catch is a 100% based in the US. BTW... I forgot to mention in the video that the net comes with a 30-foot line that makes it easier to throw off a jetty.

I'm 50 years old and have been tossing cast nets since I was a kid. I never heard of a chain bottom net. I have a cheap net now and the weights are covered in plastic. It's only 3/4 lb per foot and 4', so it's small and slow sinking. I'm sure those nets aren't cheap. I might get a chain and make mine into a chain bottom net. Edit, they're not expensive at all!

Yes, this one cost around $80 but I have seen others on Amazon for less. They may not be the same quality.

Thanks for sharing. It does appear to work better than the traditional lead weight nets. Can you tell me if this is a panel net or not? I checked the ebay listing and it shows as a 6 panel design. Can you show a video talking about it's construction and showing the panels?

it says galvanized and as soon as it gets scratched it will rust.

It is galvanized. Yes, it will probably rust at some point.

@@swamprat9018 It's hot dip galvanization method we use for chain in these nets which is superior to electro galvanization. It will last many years if you follow the cast net care instructions.

I've had a chain bottom net for a while. I don't believe i bought it - I'm pretty sure it was given to me when someone got a newer one. It's a really nice net, though the netting kinks up some. The only thing I'd say about even a bad throw being fairly good is never underestimate the ability of someone (such as me) to make a truly horrendous cast 🤣
